Russia and Chechnya have fought twice, so why does the Chechen president still look up to Putin?

author:Old History Observation

There have been two famous Chechen wars between Russia and Chechnya. It can be said that Russia and Chechnya are both enemies and enemies. Faced with the old enemy of Russia, how did the Chechens become loyal little fans?

Russia and Chechnya have fought twice, so why does the Chechen president still look up to Putin?

1. The source of contradictions, the invasion of Chechnya.

Between the 13th and 19th centuries, Chechnya was in constant turmoil. Until the 19th century, Russia spent 40 years invading Chechnya, making Chechnya part of Russia, and then sending a magistrate to administer the Chechen region.

This place official is not simple, he is very strange. Not only is he passionate about going to the battlefield and has been through many battles, but he also particularly hates the life of staying in the office. He was fierce, killing about 70,000 Chechens in his first year as a magistrate. These people all died by the rules he made.

He did not allow armed fighting in the country and, in the event of a conflict, was punishable by death. Those who obey the government's management can be saved from death, and those who do not obey the management are even the whole family. With this harsh to cruel rule, the number of riots in the area has been greatly reduced, and the situation has begun to stabilize.

At the same time, this cruel rule also aroused the hatred of some locals, who later quietly hid and staged another uprising against Russian rule, but they were eventually eliminated by Russia. Since then, there have been few riots in the area, and stability has gradually returned.

2. Expulsion from the country, the contradiction deepens.

This Chechen region, occupied by Russia, was autonomous during the Soviet period. In 1944, the President of the Soviet Union expelled more than 300,000 locals from the country on charges of colluding with Germany with the intention of murdering the Soviet Union.

It wasn't until 1957 that these people, who had been deported for more than a decade, finally returned to their hometowns. When they returned home, they restored their republic. At the same time, they discovered that the Soviets had encroached on their homeland. So there has always been a big contradiction between Chechnya and the Soviet Union.

3. A godsend opportunity to declare independence.

In 1991, Chechens, who had been hiding for so long, finally waited for an opportunity to achieve independence. At the time of the collapse of the Soviet Union, Dudayev took advantage of this god-given opportunity to seize power and declare independence. Dudayev was the first Chechen president in history.

4. Chechen war, the death of the president.

On December 11, 1994, Russia launched a war against Chechnya, which is famous for the first Chechen war in history. During the war, Russia and Chechnya fought each other in a bitter fight, and eventually lost both. In order to end the war, Russia and Chechnya had to sign a ceasefire treaty.

Dudayev, the first president of the Chechen Republic, died in the war in April 1996. Later, in 1997, Aslan Mashadov became the new president.

Chechnya's first religious leader refused to support President Dudayev. Ahmed Kadyrov, as the country's second religious leader, chose to unconditionally support President Dudayev in his rebellion against Russia and called on believers to join the war in Chechnya.

President Dudayev therefore admired Ahmed Kadyrov and went out of his way to help him become the first religious leader. At the same time, this person is also the father of the current president, Ramzan Kadyrov.

The president-backed leader of the First Religion believes that the purpose of the war in Chechnya was for Chechnya to be autonomous, not to leave Russia. Chechnya should strive to eliminate all terrorism while focusing on efforts to improve the country's development.

When Maskhadov was president of Chechnya, Vice President Basayev was a very arrogant terrorist. He once said that in order to resist Russia, he would even attack the ordinary people of Russia.

The first religious leader in Chechnya chose to develop independently because of his dissatisfaction with the terrorism of the Chechen authorities. The religious leader graduated from the religious school and is now the first spiritual leader in the country. He had cultivated a personal self-defense force as early as the reign of the last President, Dudayev.

5. Go to war again and Chechnya falls.

In 1999, Russian President Vladimir Putin launched the Second Chechen War against Chechnya. Chechnya's first spiritual leader, Ahmed Kadyrov, chose to support Russia, calling on his countrymen not to rebel against Russia. President Maskhadov, dissatisfied with his support for the enemy, deliberately sent someone to hunt him down.

It took Putin just six months to win the second Chechen war. Since then, Chechnya has been part of Russia. After that, Putin needed someone to help him manage Chechnya, and in his opinion, Kadyrov was a good candidate.

Thus The first spiritual leader of Chechnya, Ahmed Kadyrov, became the new president.

Unfortunately, the new president was assassinated not long after taking office. After the death of the new president, Putin took another fancy to the dead president's son and thought he was the best candidate to succeed him. So Ramzan Kadyrov succeeded in ascending the throne and became the new president of Chechnya.

Because the throne of the Chechen president was given by Putin, the Chechen president became a loyal little fan of Putin, often showing loyalty to Putin on various occasions.

So, has the contradiction accumulated over the years between Chechnya and Russia really been resolved? Who knows the truth?
