Thoughts of old age
In 1979, the party organization of Beijing Normal University rehabilitated Qi Gong, announced that the "rightist" department was wrongly divided, and increased his salary by one level, but Qi Gong gave this benefit to those who needed it more.
When the school asked him what his opinion was, Qi Gong sighed: "It doesn't matter to me whether you change or not." Two people who knew that I was classified as a 'rightist' and who were particularly upset about me were my mentor Chen Yuan and my wife. Now, both of these people are gone..."
