On October 15th, the 20-day Second National Youth Girls' Handball Elite Training Camp kicked off in Chuzhou, Anhui Province. This training camp continues to adhere to the concept of scientific material selection, with physical fitness tests, handball basic training, special technical training and other sections as the training content, and accordingly select the national team reserve players, in order to build a Chinese handball king to the international arena to reserve strength.
This training camp is also an important activity of the many revitalization initiatives launched by the Chinese Handball Association in recent years. In 2020, the Chinese Handball Association launched the first National Youth Handball Training Camp for the first time to expand the exploration and training of key talents in national youth handball, reserve and sort out the national brand echelon personnel structure and age structure at all levels, create a national youth training system with Chinese characteristics, and do a good job in talent reserve and echelon construction for the 2024 and 2028 Olympic Games.
According to statistics, since 2019, the Chinese Handball Association has begun to build a training system for reserve professionals, and has created 4 youth-related events, supporting training 3, covering the cultivation of professional talents of all ages starting from the age of 14; at the same time, the training of coaches and referees closely related to the level of youth training and competition, the Chinese Handball Association also attaches great importance to the training of coaches and referees, starting from 2019. In addition, the Chinese Handball Association also took the initiative to attack and obtained the support of the General Administration of Sport and the Ministry of Education, so that "handball into the campus" was effectively implemented, especially for the first time, which promoted the creation of high-level sports teams in colleges and universities, truly realized the integration of sports and education, and opened up new ideas for the cultivation of handball youth. In order to further consolidate the foundation of project material selection and maximize the population of handball, the Chinese Handball Association has always implemented the "starting from the doll" in recent years, on the one hand, fully mobilizing local enthusiasm, increasing the coverage of handball reserve talent bases and handball traditional schools, on the other hand, innovatively creating a handball characteristic kindergarten declaration system, and supporting the relevant coach training system, so as to take off for China's handball again.
In this year's training camp, on the basis of summarizing last year's experience, the coaching team formulated the work policy of "paying close attention to details, strict management, due diligence, fairness and justice, and selecting the best materials", leading and supervising the training camp working group to carry out work, formulating training plans, organizing training and business research of team members, and comprehensively observing the performance of athletes and selecting the best materials. The coaching team of this training camp is composed of 8 people, including Li Lirong, director of the Athlete Management Committee of the Chinese Handball Association, Shen Qiang and Li Li, coaches of the Chinese girls, Luan Zheng, coach of the Beijing team, Lu Guanghong, coach of the Anhui team, Liu Xiaoyu, the goalkeeper coach of the Guangdong team, and Liu Weiliang, the physical fitness coach, and a total of 54 young athletes from 7 provinces and regions participated in the training. At present, the first part of the elite training camp activities, the physical fitness test, is being carried out in an orderly manner at the Chuzhou International Handball Hall. This physical fitness test contains eight items, from the test items, test methods to the reading of test results are strict and standardized.
In order to do a good job in the prevention and control of the epidemic in this training camp, the Chinese Handball Association and the Chuzhou Education and Sports Bureau have worked closely together to set up a special leading group to formulate an implementation plan and emergency plan for epidemic prevention and control in strict accordance with the relevant requirements of the State General Administration of Sport and the epidemic prevention and control department, and comprehensively do a good job in guaranteeing the work.
