Hwang Chul-hoon is a Korean bodybuilder known for his incredible physique; perfect abs and old-school classic body shape. It is known as the "Arnold of Asia".
Since his first appearance in 2009, Hwang has made a splash in his home country and elsewhere, winning numerous bodybuilding competitions in the United States and South Korea, and also appearing on commercials and television shows.
However, his life was not always so glorious and successful. In his youth, he was often disrespected for his malnourished appearance. It was this that led him to the gym and began his journey to success.
When he first started training, he did 3,000 sit-ups a day, almost every day. His training sometimes lasted more than two or three hours. However, he later realized that this type of training wasn't the most effective way to build muscle, and instead, he began to follow an organized exercise program and began to focus on his diet.
When he changed his approach, he began to notice a great improvement in his physique. Three years later, he had a very strong body.
Later, with years of fitness experience, he began working as a personal trainer at a gym in Seoul, South Korea. In 2009, he took his career in fitness a step further and began competing in bodybuilding competitions.
In his first competition, the 2009 Moos Clemania World Championships, ended with an impressive second place (lightweight).
Since then, he has been racing regularly, bringing in bigger bodies and better physical workouts every year – by the end of 2010 he had built an impressive figure, winning the 2010 World Mr. Fitness Competition; while also winning his professional card.
In recent years, Huang Zhexun has frequently come to China to dig for gold, and has also communicated with some people in China's fitness circles, which has also attracted a large number of Chinese fans.
