HTC Meta-Universe brand Viverse is officially open

Following the first publicity of the concept video on Feb. 24, HTC's meta-universe brand, Viverse, also showcased more hands-on content at MWC 2022. Including: Vive Connect as a cross-platform center for entering other worlds, applications or games in Viverse; Vive Avatar is a user avatar based on the VRM standard; Vive Guardian is a guardian control function to ensure that minors are also in a safe environment in Viverse; and the crypto wallet Vive Wallet is associated with functions such as NFT.

As an open platform, Viverse supports access using hardware including VR headsets, mobile phones, tablets, PCs, and more. HTC Asia Pacific General Manager Huang Zhaoying also confirmed at the media conference that HTC plans to launch a new smartphone in April and is highly integrated with Viverse. HTC will also work closely with a number of telecom operators around the world this year on Viverse.

HTC also offered several VR experiences at the show, including: Yullbe Go/Europa Park's latest Location-based Entertainment app, which allows five players wearing Vive Focus 3 to share a map intelligence with an effective area of 1,000 square meters.

A VR training program for building safety, created by OutHere XR in collaboration with Skanska, the world's fifth-largest construction company, allows construction companies to train workers through Vive Focus 3 to reduce preventable construction accidents.

Qualcomm reached a strategic cooperation with ByteDance

Qualcomm announced a partnership with ByteDance to establish a partnership in the XR space. This year's MWC was attended by 61,000 people from more than 200 countries, with more than 1,900 exhibitors.
