At the same time, three PLA warships also appeared around the Taiwan Strait to block the main roads in the Taiwan Strait, and the more rampant the "Taiwan independence" forces, the closer the date of their demise.
On the evening of 1 March, a delegation of former US national security officials, headed by former US Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Mullen, arrived in Taiwan and met with Tsai Ing-wen, Su Zhenchang, and other DPP officials on the same day. In her talks with the U.S. delegation, Ms. Tsai declared that Taiwan "stands firmly with Ukraine." At the same time, she once again took the opportunity to play up the so-called "mainland military threat" and falsely claimed to face "threats to the Taiwan Strait and regional security" and looked forward to "close cooperation with the United States and regional parties." According to a report by Taiwan's Taiwan Network on 2 March, the Taiwan military pointed out that on 1 March, the PLA once again dispatched a number of military planes to cruise around the Taiwan Strait twice day and night, including one "Air Police-500" early warning aircraft, one "Y-8" long-range dry aircraft, two "J-16" fighters, one "Straight-9" anti-submarine helicopter, and one "Y-8" anti-submarine aircraft. Among them, since the "Z-9" anti-submarine helicopter first entered the island for a cruise in August last year, it has once again appeared rarely in Taiwan's "southwest airspace," and one "J-16" fighter has also crossed the so-called "middle line of the strait" and turned back, which has aroused great concern from the Taiwan military.
In view of the PLA's activities around the Taiwan Strait, Senior Colonel Tan Kefei, spokesman for the Ministry of National Defense, stressed that the DPP authorities have been relying on foreigners to respect themselves, carrying out "independence" provocations in various forms, and constantly escalating cross-strait confrontation, which is a root cause of threats to peace and stability in the Taiwan Strait and a scourge that seriously endangers the well-being of Taiwan compatriots. The PLA's organization of multi-service forces and multiple batches of ships and aircraft to carry out regular patrols and police patrols in the sea and airspace around Taiwan Island is to resolutely crack down on the arrogance and "independence" acts of the "Taiwan independence" separatist forces. It is incumbent upon us to guard the territory and protect the territory. The "Taiwan independence" provocation continues for a day, and the action of the Chinese People's Liberation Army to defend national sovereignty and territorial integrity cannot be stopped for a moment.
It is worth mentioning that in addition to the normal patrol of military aircraft around the Taiwan Strait, the actions of PLA warships have not stopped. According to a report on March 4, Taiwan media pointed out that on the evening of March 2, three warships of the People's Liberation Army appeared 50 nautical miles southeast of Lanyu Island. On the 3rd, it continued to move outward, at about 8:00 a.m. on the surface of the 80-nautical-mile sea southeast of Orchid Island, and was analyzed to enter the Bashi Strait. It can be seen from this that at present, the DPP authorities and the "Taiwan independence" forces on the island are relying on the United States to seek "independence" on the road, their intentions are becoming more and more obvious, and their arrogance is very arrogant, and they have met with a number of former US politicians in just three days. The DPP authorities are deliberately provoking the mainland and deliberately arching their fire in the already tense situation in the Taiwan Strait.
