Swedish side Norrköping has confirmed that Nigerian striker Adebenro has joined a Chinese team, but they declined to disclose his exact destination.
Adebenro joined Norrköping last season. The 26-year-old was seen as a risky signing because he had a bad season at Rosenborg before moving to Sweden.
However, that risk turned into a reward, and he became the most prolific scorer in the Swiss Super League last season. He contributed 17 goals and 2 assists in 30 games to help Norrköping finish 7th in sweden's top flight.
Such performances have gained him the interest of many European teams, but the transfer from Norrköping has not become a reality in the transfer market.
However, with the official announcement of its sale to the Chinese team, Norrköping has confirmed the end of the partnership with him.
According to Football Fans stuff, the club Adebenro joined may be Beijing Guoan.
If the deal goes a long way, Adebenro will be the second Nigerian player to play for Beijing Guoan after African Eagles star Uttaka played for the Chinese Super League team in the 14-15 season.
