v Yamaha Engines (China) Co., Ltd. will recall 301 "YAMAHA" motorboats with models FC1800, FX1800, GP1800A, GP1800B, VX1050, VX1050G, manufactured between July 2020 and January 2022, from March 4, 2022 to September 3, 2022.
The recalled product' filler neck limiter was poorly installed and in extreme cases, the filler neck was pushed into the interior of the hull when the fuel filler was inserted and additional force was applied. After pushing in, it will block the formation of a seal between the oil injection port cover and the fuel filling mouth neck, which may leak oil and bring risks to personal and property safety.
Consumers are requested to immediately stop using the motorboats involved. Yamaha Engine Co., Ltd. provides free repair parts, which are repaired by the dealers of Yamaha Engine (China) Co., Ltd. Marine Department free of charge to customers.
