#UN Human Rights Council held an urgent discussion on Ukraine on March 3, entitled The impact of the Russian invasion on the human rights situation in Ukraine. The Un High Commissioner for Human Rights directly accused Russia of military action against Ukraine, and the Chairman of the Coordination Committee of the Special Procedures of the High Commissioner for Human Rights spoke of Russia's violation of the UN Charter. Some of the representatives present were of the view that the urgent discussion was deliberately influencing the public opinion and diplomatic orientation of the international community. The Russian representative retorted that the High Commissioner for Human Rights had not been concerned about the situation of the local population since the 2014 Ukraine crisis, and that the Zelenskiy regime was only a means of pressure and a pawn against Russia for the West.
The United Nations reported that from the start of the war on February 24 to March 2, a total of 249 civilian deaths were counted, and by the time of the publication of the High Commissioner for Human Rights, they had confirmed more than thirty civilian deaths.
