In order to give full play to the positive role of cross-border e-commerce in helping the transformation and upgrading of traditional industries and promoting the digital development of industries, in February this year, the State Council approved the establishment of cross-border e-commerce comprehensive pilot zones in 27 cities and regions such as Ordos City, Yangzhou City, and Alashankou City.
This train is the first cross-border e-commerce freight train opened in the Alashankou Cross-border E-commerce Comprehensive Pilot Zone, mainly transporting solar accessories, fabrics, textile supplies, bathroom products, kitchen supplies, small household appliances and other commodities from Jiangsu, Zhejiang and other regions.
In order to better promote the development of the foreign trade economy, the Alashankou Border Station of Urumqi Bureau Group Company and Alashankou Customs jointly built a green channel for cross-border e-commerce parcel transportation.
Set up a special window for cross-border e-commerce, set up a cross-border e-commerce work exchange group, and track cargo logistics information;
Continue to follow up and optimize the cross-border e-commerce "public railway intermodal transport" model;
Adopt the transportation mode of "collective transportation", so that the whole train is loaded and opened, which has the advantages of strong timeliness, low cost and large transportation volume.
After arriving at the Alashankou port, the goods from the mainland take the China-Europe express train to the destination via the Alashankou Border Station, and the whole journey takes only about 15 days.
Since the first cross-border e-commerce business was launched at Alashankou Port on January 21, 2020, the cross-border e-commerce parcel traffic of Alashankou Border Station has always maintained a high-speed growth trend.
As of February this year, cross-border e-commerce has exported a total of 79.19 million pieces, with a trade volume of 1.603 billion yuan.
At present, Alashankou Port has developed into a cross-border e-commerce distribution center, involving 508,000 cross-border e-commerce enterprises in China, and export goods include toys, furniture, clothing, daily necessities, etc.
