There is a disease whose key word is "pain". Folk have a description of "waist-winding dragon, drill heartache", its name is called postherpetic neuralgia (PHN).
The pain of postherpetic neuralgia is diverse in nature and can be cauterizing, shocking, knife-cut, needle-like, or tear-like. It can be dominated by one kind of pain, or it can be co-existing with multiple pains.
The goal of PHN treatment is to effectively control pain as early as possible, relieve concomitant sleep and affective disorders, and improve quality of life. Pharmacotherapy is the basis, the recommended drug in an effective dose should be used, and discontinuation of the drug should be avoided immediately after the drug is effective in relieving pain, and the treatment should still be maintained for at least 2 weeks.
In October 2021, the "Expert Consensus on the Whole Process Management of Shingles-related Pain" released in China summarized the 6 treatment drugs of PHN, let's take a look at it with Xiaobian!
