As a scuba diving enthusiast, the most important equipment in diving is the dive computer watch. It displays in real time critical data such as water depth, temperature, decompression-free residence time, and safe residence time. However, in the past, the diving computer watch was often "special watch", only to provide help in the underwater scene, and often lacked intelligent functions in daily life, which could not meet more needs of work, fitness and life.

In order to solve the functional expansion, garmin Jiaming today launched a diving computer watch called Descent G1, which is a diving computer watch that can be worn daily, with innovative diving technology, all-weather health monitoring, smart watch function and solar charging function.

In order to meet the underwater use scene, the Descent G1 series is equipped with a high-contrast screen and a 45mm diameter case. Waterproof rated 10 ATM (100 m), tested to EN13319 standard, with inductive waterproof button design and sapphire mirror.

Divers can change long or short straps when needed to quickly switch between wetsuit and everyday wear. In addition, the Descent G1 series can last up to 25 hours in dive mode and up to 21 days in Smart mode. With solar-assisted charging, smart mode can take up to 16 weeks.

The Descent G1 Series offers diving enthusiasts as well as technical divers a variety of dive modes such as single gas, gas mixture (nitrox and triple gas), instrument diving, freediving, free hunting, and CCR diving. Divers can easily read depth, dive duration, temperature, NDL/TTS, ascent/descent speed, gas type, oxygen partial pressure, nitrogen load, decompression/safe stay reminder, current time and other information on the wrist, and users can also customize the function dial to display the data they want to view.

Freedivers can view custom dive and surface data in freedive mode, as well as more data metrics such as ascent and descent speeds to better analyze each dive performance.

At the same time, the Descent G1 supports the GNSS multi-satellite positioning system, which automatically marks and records the location of inlet and outlet points on the surface of the water, and records dive logs in the Garmin Dive app2, making it easier for divers to view detailed analysis of each dive activity, including maximum depth and underwater dwell time.

With the Garmin Dive app, divers can view popular dive sites that have been rated by other users, as well as information such as weather conditions and dive logs for that dive site.

In addition to professional diving features, the Descent G1 Series offers 24/7 health tracking, including advanced sleep monitoring and sleep scores, built-in indoor and outdoor sports such as swimming, hiking, running, cycling, golf, yoga and surfing. With the built-in Widget surf widget, surfers can view tide information, wave height, wind speed, and wave point information on their wrist.

In addition, the Descent G1 Dive Computer Meter provides a full set of exercise health data monitoring and guidance, such as VO2 max, body age, training status, recovery time recommendations, HIIT training and daily training recommendations.

For everyday use scenarios, the Descent G1 dive computer watch can also be paired with compatible smartphones. Users can receive emails, TEXT messages, and app notifications directly. Subsequent software updates can also support the NFC transportation card function, pay with the wrist, and travel conveniently. In terms of price, the Descent G1 series has not yet been officially announced, and is expected to be officially launched in April 2022. (This article was first published on titanium media App)
