On March 1, the Xiangyang City Museum New Museum Layout Deepening Design Report Meeting was held, and Chen Jian, member of the Standing Committee of the Municipal Party Committee and director of the Publicity Department, and Wang Fang, vice mayor, attended the meeting.
At the debriefing meeting, Beijing Tiantu Design Engineering Co., Ltd. reported on the deepening design plan of the new museum of the municipal museum. The participating experts and scholars discussed the exhibition content, design concept, expression form, spatial layout and other aspects of the museum, and put forward opinions and suggestions.
Chen Jian pointed out that it is necessary to improve the position of the station and fully self-confidence. As a national historical and cultural city with a history of more than 2,800 years, the city should put the cultural tourism industry in the same important position as advanced manufacturing and modern agriculture, and form a "three-point world" pattern that supports the high-quality development of Xiangyang. Specific to the construction of the new museum, it is necessary to create a new landmark of Xiangyang culture in accordance with the standards of the national first-class museum and the national museum's top ten exhibition excellence awards.
Chen Jian demanded that we should clearly define and meticulously plan. The theme is clear, with cultural relics as the center, with the highlights of Xiangyang as the mainstay, with tourists as the foothold, to achieve elegant and customary appreciation; rigorous and meticulous, so that there is a source, a basis for words, a well-known thing, a good effect, from the professional system, combined with the reality of Xiangyang, the integration of cultural resources, tell the story of Xiangyang; innovative ideas, combined with the characteristics of cultural relics in the collection, xiangyang characteristics, rational use of new technologies and means, so that tourists are willing to come, like to see; strengthen overall planning, rapid advancement, adhere to high-level design, high-quality exhibition, and promote the completion of the construction of the new museum project as scheduled.
Wang Fang pointed out that the museum, as a public cultural space in the city, plays an important role in engraving urban memory, enhancing cultural self-confidence, and enhancing urban cohesion, etc. It is necessary to respect history, highlight key points, enhance interaction, and build the new municipal museum into a window to display urban history and culture, and create a good urban cultural image.
It is reported that the new museum of the city museum is located in Fenghuangshan Chong opposite Da Nang Shou Mountain, with a construction area of 30,000 square meters, covering an area of 185 acres, composed of 3 single buildings, with a total exhibition area of 8400 square meters.
