Recently, Liu Jianzhang, full-time deputy secretary of the party building in Shatou Street and director of the CPPCC Studio, said in an interview with reporters that the western area of Panyu is rich in tourism resources and profound cultural heritage, and the creation of Panyu "Cloud Road" is conducive to broadening the space for citizens' cultural entertainment and leisure and ecological tourism.

The Shatou Street Studio of the District CPPCC has submitted proposals for two consecutive years to strengthen the construction of the Western Panyu Cultural Tourism Area, "Last year, it mainly focused on the construction of ecological corridors, and this year around the construction of cultural landscapes." According to Liu Jianzhang, with the development and construction of Guangzhou South Railway Station and the maturity of the Wanbo Business District, more and more people are working and living in this area, and the adjacent Panyu Western Area can be used as a supporting "back garden". The western area of Panyu has a profound cultural heritage, and the scenery around Dafu Mountain and Dishui Rock, Longwan Wetland and Nanshan Gorge is beautiful, which is very suitable for the development of leisure tourism industry. However, at present, the tourism resources in the precinct have not been connected.

Dafu Mountain Forest Park covers an area of about 9,000 mu, Dishuiyan Forest Park covers an area of more than 6,000 mu, and the area of Dafushan Forest Park and Dishuiyan Forest Park alone exceeds 15,000 mu, with a large area, beautiful environment, perfect facilities, and is well-known in Panyu and even the Pearl River Delta. "If the two parks are connected, it will not only facilitate leisure tourism for the public, but also hold cross-country competitive activities such as marathons and triathlons." Liu Jianzhang said.

The tourism industry must be supported by rich cultural connotation and thick cultural heritage in order to be sustainable. Liu Jianzhang believes that the western area of Panyu has rich cultural connotations and needs to be fully excavated and publicized. Among them, Dafu Mountain, formerly known as Baoqi Mountain and commonly known as Dawugang, was once the "Wenbi Mountain", "Case Mountain" and "Zhenshan Mountain" in the provincial capital of Guangzhou. According to Qianlong's "Panyu County Chronicle", it is the "County Front Case Mountain", which is the symbol of the feng shui mountain and the old central axis of Guangzhou City. The famous Qing Dynasty poet Li Jian wrote a number of poems about Dafu Mountain, and also made pictures of Dafu Mountain (now in Chinese University, Hong Kong). In the 1990s, the Provincial Museum also found Paleolithic ruins on Dafu Mountain, and such a rich historical and cultural heritage is still lacking in systematic arrangement.

The famous ming dynasty scholar Wang Wankui once lived in seclusion in Qingluozhuang, where the Dishuiyan Forest Park is located, for ten years, and lectured with the master of science Zhan Ruoshui in the Senluo Building of Qingluo Mountain, and wrote a collection of poems "Qingluo Collection", as well as the famous prose "Qingluo Mountain Endowment", many history books of the Ming and Qing dynasties, including county records, are important scientific mountains in the Pearl River Delta. The Ming Dynasty medicinal scholar He Qiyan also lived in seclusion in Qingluozhuang, writing the "Preparation of Raw Herbs", recording the herbs of Guangfu and supplementing the gaps in the "Compendium of Materia Medica". The poems of the Qing Dynasty poet Li Jian are often held in opposition to the Qingluo Mountain.
In the area of Longwan Ancient Dam, where the Longwan Wetland is located, many ancient books and historical books record that after the Han Dynasty Panyu City (in present-day Yuexiu District, Guangzhou) was burned down by the army of Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty, it was moved to the area of longwan ancient dam in present-day Shawan, and the Han tombs found in Shatou and Ping Shan also show similar historical traces. That is to say, today's Panyu Western Tourism and Cultural Area is very likely to be the central area of Panyu City in the Han Dynasty, equivalent to today's Guangzhou urban area, which is of great significance for studying the history of Guangzhou's urban development.

Excavate and sort out the cultural resources of western Panyu
"At present, the historical materials related to the western area of Panyu are very rich, but they have not been systematically sorted out and packaged." Liu Jianzhang said that in view of this situation, the Shatou Street CPPCC Studio proposed to build a humanistic Dafu Mountain, reshape the cultural heritage of Gaoshi's hermitage in Qingluoling, and integrate the two mountains and longwan wetlands to create a tourist route for Han Panyu City.
In Dafu Mountain, the central axis relationship between Dafu Mountain and the main mountain of Guangzhou City can be packaged and designed to enhance the social attention of Dafu Mountain. For the Paleolithic Site of Dafu Mountain, Li Jian Dafushan poetry and calligraphy works began to study again, design humanistic landscapes, and carry out tourism product development, integrating more humanistic elements into Dafushan Forest Park. Edit and publish monographs on the history and culture of Dafu Mountain, hold a seminar on the history and culture of Dafu Mountain, and declare the "Legend of Dafu Mountain" (folk literature) as a district-level intangible cultural heritage list to better publicize the cultural landscape of Dafu Mountain.

In Dishuiyan, Wang Wankui and He Qiyan, who lived here in history, are reproduced through sculpture and inscription, combined with the poems of their works and the traces of their lives, some architectural pavilions are designed to enhance the cultural taste of Dishuiyan Forest Park. Rearranging and publishing books and materials related to Qingluoling, and combining them with the protection and development of Shawan Ancient Town, it recreates the excellent historical and cultural traditions of Shawan.

In addition, the Panyu Museum integrates the Eastern Han Dynasty Tombs with the Dafu Mountain, Qingluo ridge and Longwan wetlands to form a route that combines tourism, history and culture with outdoor sports. On the landscape bridge connecting Dafu Mountain, Hongluo Mountain, Longwan Wetland and Qingluo mountain, some historical elements of Han Panyu City, such as Han brick characters and Han pottery ornaments, were designed to enhance its cultural connotation.
