5 events not to be missed by WSOP 2022

The WSOP Series schedule has been announced, and whether you want to compete in the $500 Buy HLEN Tournament or the $100,000 Buy-In High Roller Tournament, the 2022 WSOP Series will have you covered.

The first poker event on the Las Vegas Strip for Horseshoe and Paris will offer players 88 buy-in bracelet events ranging from hundreds to hundreds of thousands. Countless players are eagerly awaiting this summer coming soon.

If you're one of them, here are five races you don't want to miss this summer.

01

The joy of housewarming

The $500 Housewarming NLH is the first event you definitely don't want to miss. It has a huge guaranteed bonus of 5 million knives, and the purchase fee is only 500 knives, which is the king of cost performance.

The opening weekend event, which will begin on June 3, lasts for six days and is expected to attract a large number of players to try to win seven-figure prizes.

In a recent statement, the WSOP said: "This wildly popular price point has created some of the largest entries in poker history."

Last year's opening weekend event, The Reunion No-Limit Hold'em attracted nearly 13,000 participants and generated a prize pool of nearly 5.5 million knives. Texas-based Long Ma brought home a $513,604 championship prize money after three days of the race, a 1,000x return on his buy-in amount.

The $500 Housewarming HCN is likely to attract a large number of players and generate millions in prize money, so don't miss this opening weekend event.

Millionaire Manufacturing Race

2021 Millionaire Manufacturing Tournament

Another affordable event that is expected to attract thousands of entrants is the $1,500 Millionaire Maker Race. The event is expected to generate a prize pool of millions and guarantee the winner a seven-figure prize.

Last year's tournament #17: $1,500 Millionaire Maker had 5,330 participants and created a prize pool of 3.4 million knives. Daniel Lazrus won that race, winning the second gold bracelet of his career and a $1 million knife prize.

If you want to try to increase the 1,500 knives to 1 million knives, the Millionaire Maker race may be the best option for you.

03

Giants Race

The third event not to be missed is the $400 Giants, which is also expected to attract thousands of players and generate millions of prize pools.

The 4-day tournament will begin on June 24 and players can choose between two Day1 fixtures in Group A and Group B.

Anatolia Zyrin

The 2021 Giants created a prize pool of 3.1 million knives and attracted 9,399 entrants, making it one of the most popular WSOP events. Russia's Anatolii Zyrin won his second gold bracelet and $314,705 through the nearly 10,000-man race.

As the lowest buy-in event in WSOP, Giant's Is a great choice for up-and-coming pro and casual players.

04

Team competition

One of the most unique events offered in the series is the $1,000 team match where players compete in pairs for a chance to win two gold bracelets.

This year's team competition, with a buy-in fee of $1,000 per team, will begin on June 26 and is scheduled for three days.

In previous years, the tournament allowed a maximum of four members per team, but in 2021 the WSOP reduced that number to two.

Mike Ruter和Samy Dighlawi

Last year's team competition attracted 641 teams, with a prize pool of nearly 600,000 knives. Ruter's Mike Ruter and Samy Dighlawi won the team race for $113,366 and two gold bracelets.

The novel structure of the $1,000 Team Tournament makes it an interesting and unique event, and it is likely to be one of the highlights of the 2022 series.

05

Main event

Johnny Chan, Dan Harrington, Chris Moneymaker, Joe Hachem, Martin Jacobson and Joe McKeehen are all poker heroes who have become famous through the main event.

Koray Aldemir

The latest addition to the main event winner list is Germany's Koraya Aldemir, who won the race last year with 8 million knives and his first gold bracelet.

The main event in 2021 attracted 6,550 players and generated a prize pool of more than 62 million knives. Predictably, these numbers could easily be surpassed this year, as vaccine and mask restrictions have been lifted.

While a $10,000 buy-in tournament may not be within every poker player's budget, if there's enough money, the main event is surely something that no one wants to miss.
