While most teams have been stronger in the second half, Mitrovic has tended to start in a devastating way in this season's games. Incredibly, although Mitrovic was replaced at half-time every game, he remained the top scorer in the Championship this season. In the first half of the 2021-22 season, Mitrovic scored 21 of his 34 league goals, followed by Blackburn's Ben Bretton Diaz with just one less goal than him.
Given Mitrovic's physical qualities, you'd take it for granted that he's the most dangerous in set-piece tactics, but the Serbia international has been very ruthless in his sporting campaign for Fulham this season. In fact, 25 of his 34 goals have come from the Open, which is more than both Barnsley and Petersburg United (24) have scored this season. Mitrovic helped Fulham score 82 goals this season, which has surpassed any team in the Championship last season.

After Mitrovic broke the record, the only question for the British media was how many goals he would end up scoring. With 13 games left, the Serbian is likely to end the season with a number that will never be broken. With his current efficiency, Mitrovic is expected to score about 14 more goals, which will bring his number of goals this season to 48. The 48 goals will exceed the total number of goals scored by nine teams last season.
