On February 28, Beijing time, the final of the English League Cup, Liverpool defeated Chelsea 11-10 on penalties to win the championship! It was their 9th English League Cup and their 44th trophy in all competitions!
Who is England's most successful team? Some could say Manchester United because they have won the most titles in the top flight; some could say Liverpool because they have won the Champions League the most. So what if you count the trophies of all major events? Of course, this does not include the Super Cup, the Community Shield and the Club World Cup.
Liverpool lifted the League Cup trophy for the 9th time, plus 19 Top League titles, 6 Champions League titles, 3 Europa League/UEFA Cup titles, 7 FA Cup titles, for a total of 44 titles!
What about Manchester United? 20 top league titles, 12 FA Cups, 5 League Cups, 3 Champions Leagues, 1 Europa League, 1 Winners Cup, adding up to 42 titles, already two less than Liverpool.
Other giants are far from double red. Arsenal have 30 titles, Chelsea 25, Manchester City 22, Tottenham 17, and the Gunners, Blue Moon and White Lilies have none of them. So, to say that Liverpool is the king of England, is not too much?
