Qiu Zhaoyi: 3, "ice strong and snow strong" is still on the way to struggle

Hello everyone, I am Qiu Zhaoyi, phD supervisor and professor of Beijing Sport University

The Winter Olympics have always been "heavy snow and light ice", "snow, the world" pattern, China welcomes the "ice strong snow strong" opening red, although the Winter Olympics has changed China's "ice strong snow weak" situation, but as a "late-developing country" China's snow project we are still exploring, on the road to hard work.

Although a historic breakthrough has been achieved in participating in and completing the race, There is still a long way to go for Chinese alpine skiers because there is still a huge gap between them and the top foreign athletes.

Second, cross-country skiing

A brief inventory of the results of our cross-country skiing team at the Beijing Winter Olympics: all men's and women's individual events in a total of 8 events, except for the men's 15km, men's double chase, men's individual sprint results, (the best ranking of the men's 15km this year is the 41st place of the veteran team member Shang Jincai, the 49th place of Turin in 2006; the men's double chase Liu Rongsheng is 38th, the 50th place of Turin in 2006; the men's individual sprint to advance to the 1/4 final, 2010 Vancouver 21st place) is slightly better than in previous sessions, The remaining five events were inferior to the best results in the history of the Winter Olympics; the men's and women's four-man relay and 2-man team sprints were slightly better than the best in the history of the Winter Olympics (this year's results: women's 4x5km relay 10th, 1984 Winter Olympics 12th; men's 4x10km relay 13th, 2006 Turin 15th; in the men's and women's short distance events, the women's team was 11th by the combination of veteran team members Li Xin \ Chi Chunxue, 13th in Turin 2006, The man was won the 13th place by the combination of veteran team members Wang Qiang and Shang Jincai, and 19th in Turin in 2006).

It can be seen that the Chinese cross-country skiing in this Winter Olympics is still far from achieving the goal of "climbing the podium", and has not achieved a historic breakthrough in breaking into the top eight, and still relies on the four veteran team members with an average age of nearly 30 years to support the façade of the cross-country skiing project of the Winter Olympic Games.

Third, the Nordic two

Taking stock of the ice and snow powers led by Nordic Norway, the ice and snow power dominates the traditional skiing sports of cross-country skiing, which is mainly based on cross-country skiing, which tempers the will of the will. Dominated by the European Alpine region: Germany, Switzerland, Austria and other countries, it dominates modern skiing sports based on "steep cliffs", "fast and furious" snowmobiles, sledding, and alpine skiing. In evaluating these snow sports of this Winter Olympic Games, the words we use the most are not "qualification", "participation", "out", "finish", or "breakthrough" and "creating history". However, as far as the wishes of generations of ice and snowmen and Chinese people are concerned, they should sound the loudest clarion call of the new era for the motherland in the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.

Hats off to our colleagues who have been fighting on the front line of ice and snow all year round!

"Ice strong and snow strong" is still on the way to work hard!
