This is the love and entrepreneurship story of Chongqing University's Cheng Yusi alumni and Che Yun alumni, who are also husband and wife and comrades-in-arms.

Chongqing has a South Mountain, which is the highest mountain in the city, where many celebrities have lived, such as the female writer Sanmao, the "singer of the times" Shi Guangnan and so on. In such a unique natural condition and cultural heritage of the South Mountain, there is a bookstore that can see the scenery and "sleep" - Nanzhishan. It filters through all the steaming heat of Chongqing, and is a place where people's bodies and souls are on the road. And its initiators are this post-80s couple: Che Yun and Cheng Yusi.
They met at the beautiful Chongqing University and were both graduate students majoring in urban planning at Chongqing University. They have many similarities, the same teacher and the same constellation, the same interest in urban planning, after three months of acquaintance, they were attracted to each other and officially became lovers.
After graduation, Che Yun went to the Planning and Design Institute, and Cheng Yusi went to a real estate company in Shenzhen to do strategic investment and product planning, with an annual salary of 400,000 yuan. Because of economic constraints, they can only focus on the farmhouses and rotten tail buildings in Nanshan. Finally, the two took out all their savings, including the money their parents bought them a wedding house, and began planning a bookstore. In order to save money, they do everything themselves. Every day at five o'clock, Cheng Yusi got up, went to supervise the construction, and was responsible for the design, and was busy until about two o'clock in the morning. The pressure to start a business is too great, there are constant doubts, an uncertain future, and increasing economic pressure. During that time, the two people always quarreled, but they did not choose to give up. Four months later, the "South Mountain Bookstore · Origin, a bookstore full of dreams and love, is finally completed. On May 20, 2016, Cheng Yusi in 1987 and Che Yun in 1989 presented a soulful gift to Chongqing with a bookstore that "can see the scenery".
As soon as the bookstore opened, it was blown up by the circle of friends. It is like opening a door to a new world, arousing the curiosity of countless people, and everyone wants to experience it. As a result, hundreds of people often poured into the reading area that could only carry more than forty people, and in order to have a better reading experience, Cheng Yusi and Che Yun could only adopt the reservation system.
However, this popular bookstore has also caused many people to be dissatisfied, some people think that this is a gimmick in the name of "culture", some people refuse to make an appointment and come directly to the door of the store to scold; more media say that they are "impetuous". Che Yun and Cheng Yusi were more stressed during that time, but fortunately, they had already experienced the doubts and pressures in the early stages. "As long as we persist, everything will be fine", with this belief, they finally survived.
Later, on May 20, 2017, the second larger and more diverse "Minamiyama Kobayashi" was also opened.
Behind the success of Che Yun and Cheng Yusi is the persistence of the two people. They brought "jianghu righteousness" to the marriage, and also made this marriage one of the most beautiful love stories in China in 2017.

Although the first bookstore attracted some negative voices in the early days of opening, Che Yun and Cheng Yusi still walked down step by step, and later made a novel transformation of the second bookstore "Little Forest".
"South Mountain" is more static, mainly holding some book clubs, author conferences, suitable for those who love to read books, love to exchange reading experience of friends; "Little Forest" is more dynamic, focusing on diversified cultural experience, the folklore, catering, music have been moved into the bookstore, so that reading has become an interesting experience.
Every detail in the bookstore has the heart and soul of Che Yun and Cheng Yusi. There is no minimum consumption in the bookstore, no dim lights, pale walls, some greenery that can be seen when you look up, birds and cicadas singing in your ears, and the faint aroma of books in your nose. Inside the bookstore, it is not quite like a bookstore, everyone can sit or lie down.
The "bookstore-centric lifestyle" is the concept of che rhyme and chengyusi, so you can see record players lined up in a row, brightly colored recording booths, clay classes, floral classes, and exhibitions. The division of labor between the two of them is also very clear, Che Yun is responsible for the media and publicity, and Cheng Yusi is responsible for the internal operation of the bookstore, a proper form of "male inside, female outside".
When the bookstore entered the right track and the operation team became more and more mature, Che Yun and Cheng Yusi finally had their own time. When they are not busy, two people will go out on a trip.

"We need bookstores, just as naturally as we need hospitals, we need schools, we need parks." So the "South Mountain" bookstore went out of the top of the mountain, returned to the city, and successively opened the "South Mountain , City Hill "South Mountain • Small Universe" and "South Mountain • Gutenberg Xinghan" bookstore in Jiangbeizui, Mandarin Duck and Chongqing Tiandi. These bookstores fully take into account the actual needs of the surrounding people, and are closely related to people's daily lives, which not only carry but also stimulate people's yearning for a better urban life, and become an urban public space that is loved, close, vibrant and humane.
The South Mountain is a stone they threw into the sea of the city, and now, this stone is using the power of gentle ripples to promote the development of chongqing's cultural and creative undertakings.
