The Sun: Chelsea are allowed to wear the Club World Cup title badge for the rest of the season

According to the Sun, Chelsea, who won the Club World Cup earlier this month, have been allowed to wear the Club World Cup title badge for the rest of the season.

In the Club World Cup final in Abu Dhabi, Chelsea won the title with a 2-1 victory over Palmeiras. Chelsea wore the Club World Cup title badge during Saturday's match against Crystal Palace, but it was considered disposable. Premier League executives agreed to Chelsea's request, and having a Club World Cup title was positive for English football, with the ban on changing shirts as the season progressed slightly.

When Liverpool won the Club World Cup in 2019, they were only allowed to wear the Club World Cup title badge in their home games against Wolves. The Premier League rejected the request after Manchester United won the Club World Cup in 2008, and Manchester United was the first English club to win the Club World Cup. Chelsea will wear the Club World Cup title badge for their away match against Burnley on 5 March. Both Real Madrid and Bayern have previously worn the Club World Cup title badge after winning the Club World Cup.
