Jiang Kuan, a native of Harbin, has studied calligraphy and Painting in the East and the West with his mother Mr. Miao Jingwen since childhood, a director of the China Financial Calligraphy and Painting Academy, a vice chairman of the Heilongjiang Financial Artists Association, a member of the Heilongjiang Provincial Artists Association, a member of the Heilongjiang Calligraphers Association, and a librarian of the Harbin Municipal Museum of Culture and History... Although there are many titles, Jiang Kuan himself is more concerned about painting his own "heart painting".

Since being invited by friends of the Provincial Philatelic Association to paint the first day cover of the zodiac, Jiang Kuan's paintings have many more animals as the protagonists, and he has created various forms of zodiac paintings almost every year based on the zodiac animals as "models".
"Ji Hu Ying Chun"
Especially with the arrival of the Year of the Nongyin Tiger in 2022, Jiang Kuan has figured out many shapes for the Siberian tiger, the unique "king of mountains and forests" in his hometown. Jiang Kuan's painting "Ji Hu YingChun", the picture is a big tiger head, the color of Chinese red forms a strong visual impact, and the tiger momentum and tiger qi of the Siberian tiger jump on the paper. The painting "Nafu" is a cute tiger made of ink, the tiger's claws lightly pinch a "Fu" word hanging money, the little tiger is approachable. "Double Blessing" looks like a harmonic terrier "Double Tiger", two tigers lying in the flowers and grass, looking east and west, leisurely. And the painting called "Siberian Tiger", in the vast snow field, a Siberian tiger is lying on the top of the mountain, holding up its ears, alertly looking back at the distance, the realistic tiger appearance and the poignant momentum that people can feel, rushing to the face.

Jiang Kuan said that the Siberian tiger is the king of the beasts, and if it can survive and reproduce in the ice and snow, it must have its brave and violent side. But he painted the tiger, what he wanted to express was that "tigers and humans live in harmony", "community of life", and "biodiversity", and people are willing to understand, actively study and actively protect the Siberian tiger through watching tigers.
In this year of the tiger, there are many friends who love tigers, and the demand for painting tigers to send blessings is really unexpected, so that Jiang Kuan has been busy painting tigers for a while. Jiang Kuan said that in fact, this also shows the simple feelings of heilongjiang people for the Northeast tiger in their minds.
Regarding the art of painting, friends in the painting industry say that Jiang Kuan's paintings are thoughtful, "the shape of the painting is outside, it is really the mood", this evaluation is very appropriate for him. He said that people will consciously or unconsciously empathize with paintings, and those who have a sharp mind will better understand the expressions of paintings, which will better realize the different personality experiences and exchanges between people on society, nature, and the meaning of life. Jiang Kuan's works are never confused by forms and genres, and his firm skills are born in the Tao and The Dao, and always grasp the true meaning of the service of the mind that technology should be negotiated.

In the Year of the Tiger, Jiang Kuan's large-scale painting "This Body and the Old Man in the Mountains and Forests" was selected for the "Year of the Tiger Painting Tiger Tiger Tiger Tiger Shengwei" online art exhibition held by the China Financial Artists Association. In the painting, a Siberian tiger with a sense of vicissitudes walks resolutely between the vast forest and sea snowfields.
