In desperation, Japan had no choice but to continue to open up new fronts and find more war resources to sustain the war. As a country near Southeast Asia, India does not have enough military strength itself, so it naturally becomes the best choice for the Japanese to attack.
If this is the case, then why did the Japanese decisively choose to give up after a failed attack? In fact, the main reason is that Japan was no longer able to support a large-scale war at that time. Even the unit that attacked Japan in the first place was unable to obtain a sufficient amount of logistical supplies. It is simply unrealistic to let such a tired division win the battle against India, which is waiting for the battle.
