Exhibition "Watchmen"

Yangcheng Evening News reporter Wang Jun photo report: The highly experimental and artistic "post-05" small artist group exhibition has come, and the annual exhibition of xiaoyan nest students' works returned on February 20 at the Nest Art Museum of Shenzhen Sea World Culture and Art Center. With the theme of "Bent FOUR", this year's exhibition covers 260 students and more than 800 works, including more impactful large-scale art installations, experimental works of art with both a sense of technology and interactivity, attracting many art lovers to visit the exhibition. The exhibition will run until March 31.

"This is the largest number of exhibitors since the annual Xiaoyan nest student works exhibition was held." Zhuo Mingda, president of Xiaoyan Painting Academy and Chao, introduced that the "Annual Student Works Exhibition" is an annual "example dish" since the establishment of Xiaoyan Painting Academy and Chao. The works in this exhibition come from 260 students in Xiaoyanchao, all of whom are "post-05s", the youngest is 4 years old and the oldest is 15 years old. The types of works cover film animation, multimedia art, installation art, visual art, architectural design, graphic design, industrial design, product design and other diversified content.

The exhibition produced many large-scale works created collectively. For example, the red brick cultural building complex co-created by 60 small artists explores how to start from a small brick and return to the essence of architecture, and express their attitude with traditional craftsmanship and low-carbon environmental protection outside the mainstream of reinforced concrete architecture.

"This exhibition proves that many art topics that were previously considered 'super-gang' are well digested by 'post-05' children in Shenzhen and have a very high degree of completion." Zhuo Mingda said. Compared with previous editions, this year's "Xiaoyan nest students' works exhibition" is full of distinct experimental tendencies, and many of the exhibited works are the results of subject-based teaching. At the exhibition site, the human installation "Watchmen" jointly completed by 50 young artists is particularly eye-catching. "This is a training project around modeling ability, and it is more focused on experimentation." Liang Junwei, head of pure art studio, explained.
