According to PCgamer, Intel will hold an investor conference today, and some information has been released so far. CEO Pat promised to provide some news to gamers at the event.

Previously, Intel was releasing information about its Arc series of discrete graphics: it will launch a desktop version in the second quarter of this year and a workstation version in the third quarter.

"Intel plans to ship 4 million graphics cards by the end of this year." Intel said in its investor materials table. Laptops powered by ARC Alchemist GPUs will go on sale in the first quarter of 2022.

4 million graphics cards is a huge number, and players really need them. Intel's chief architect Raja Koduri and CEO Pat Gelsinger have previously said that they will try to solve the GPU shortage problem, and at least Intel is working towards this goal.
