Russian figure skater Vallieva was only fourth in total for major free skating mistakes. Vallieva, who ranked first in the short program with 82 points, appeared in the last place in the free skating, and finally slipped twice, repeatedly making mistakes in the free skating and only 5th, ranking 4th overall, behind Japan's Hanaori Sakamoto.

Trusova, who finished first in free skating, successfully completed five four-week jumps and scored a high score of 177 points. But due to mistakes in the short program, her overall score trailed Serbakova to second place. Sherbakova played steadily in both the short program and the free skate, eventually winning the title.
