Commentary:
In the cold season, barely eating a little food, leaning against the Uchi, sitting on the floor, the Uchi is worn, sewn many times, and wears a brown hat on his head. In the spring, the water rises and the rivers are vast, so floating in the boat is like sitting among the clouds in the sky; the body is weak, the old eyes are dim, and the flowers and grasses on the shore are like a layer of mist. See the butterflies and gulls coming and going freely, each getting their own place. Standing in Tanzhou and looking directly at Chang'an to the north, it was like looking at the white clouds in the sky, there were more than ten thousand miles, and I was suddenly sad.
Author's introduction: Du Fu, born in 712 AD, died in 770 AD, zimei, self-proclaimed Shaoling Yelao, a famous realist poet of the Tang Dynasty, and Li Bai jointly called "Li Du".
Although Du Fu's reputation was not prominent during his lifetime, he later became famous. A total of about 1500 poems by Du Fu have been preserved, most of which are collected in the Du Gongbu Collection.
Du Fu's influence on classical Chinese poetry was so far-reaching that he was called "Shisheng" by later generations, and his poems were called "Poetic History".
