21. Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine Park (January 2015)
Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine Park is composed of several offshore islands, namely Gaya Island, Manukan Island, Mamutik Island, Sulug Island and Sapi Island (Sapi), the five islands have their own characteristics, most of which have underwater walking, diving, motor boats, flying fish and other water entertainment projects, of which Gaya Island has a large resort, the price is more expensive, not within the scope of our accommodation [sneak laugh]
From our hotel room to see the ocean park in the distance, the nearest one to us do not know which island, really close to the city, go to the speedboat pier to buy a ticket to go, the pier is called Jesselton Pier, from our hotel room can also be seen.
I was curious about the name Tunku Abdul Rahman, and looked it up, he was the first Prime Minister of Malaysia when the Federation of Independent Malaysia was also the first Prime Minister of Malaysia, known as the Father of Independence, the Father of Malaysia, and the Ocean Park in Kota Kinabalu is Malaysia's first marine park, named after the first Prime Minister.
We plan to relax today, do not want to toss too much, only plan to go to an island, contrast, Shabi Island is said to be the best for snorkeling, that is it.
In the morning, sleep lazily and leisurely after breakfast, walk a few hundred meters from the hotel to the pier, buy a ferry ticket and take a speedboat for ten minutes to Shabi Island.
As soon as they arrive on the island, they can't wait to start playing with sand, digging and shoveling, tirelessly, and never tired of playing. For them, it doesn't matter how the sea is or how the water is, the sand is good, theoretically even if they don't go out, pull a cart of sand for them to fall on the ground to play, they can also harvest the same happiness [sneak laugh]
The weather rained for a while and the sun was shining for a while, alternating several times. There is the sun shining, the sea is particularly beautiful, the blue and that green, are particularly colorful, and once the sun is covered by dark clouds, the sea is also eclipsed a lot, a gray cloud, so to say that the filter, the sun is the most beautiful filter.
Babies who began to live and die and did not want to go into the water, after being driven into the water, they turned over, there were many small fish, a group of people around for a while, that is, there were not many species, basically all of them were zebra striped fish, to say that the beach sea and the seabed scenery, the offshore islands are still far worse than the distant islands.
We didn't eat lunch on the island, so we went back to the hotel hungry and packed up and went to Gaya Street to eat five-star Hainanese chicken rice. The food on Gaya Street can be much more than the choice of Shabi Island, and it is much more delicious, I don't know if everyone is too hungry, or this meal is really delicious, a group of people hungry tigers down the mountain, adults and children ate a big table [cover their faces]
