In order to promote the commercialization of Micro LED, related equipment manufacturers continue to make efforts to provide feasible solutions for the market. Recently, a South Korean Mini/Micro LED testing equipment manufacturer announced the latest news.
According to South Korean media reports, South Korea's Mini/Micro LED testing equipment manufacturer NANO EX announced on the 15th that it has received a total of 5.5 billion won (equivalent to 29.09 million yuan) of investment from C&CI Partners and other investors, and the funds are planned to be used to build a large-scale production line for Micro LED test probes.
NANO EX revealed that the micro LED test probe large-scale production line, is expected to be completed in May, is expected to achieve a monthly production capacity of 6,000 probe cards. Pin cards are mainly used to test the performance of Micro LED chips. When applying current, the probe card tests whether the Micro LED chip is working properly by checking parameters such as voltage change, wavelength, and light intensity.

It is reported that nano EX's Micro LED test probe consists of pins with a size of 5-10 μm, directly touching the Micro LED chip and testing each chip. It is worth noting that each pin has an independent spring structure that can handle non-contact problems that can occur when the micro LED chip height is different.
