After that, Qian Yanqiu changed his route and began to prepare for the "Yan Shuangying" series of TV series, while the original producer found Fu Dalong and Yang Mi and filmed an idol version of "Detective Di Renjie Prequel", and the results are self-evident.

By chance, Gao Luopei read a Chinese novel called "The Case of Di Gong", and after only a few pages, he was attracted by the contents of the novel, which made Gao Luopei addicted to the logical reasoning of ancient Chinese judges in handling cases and their achievements in criminal psychology.

Gao Luopei was deeply encouraged by this situation and decided to write an original novel about Di Renjie himself. Therefore, he began to imitate the ancient Chinese novel to write in the language of the script and the chapter body, and at the same time combined with the characteristics of Western detective novels to set up suspense at the beginning, ambush clues everywhere in the text, and finally reveal the truth after layer by layer, after such operation, the plot of the whole novel is undulating and very gripping.
In addition, Gao Luopei also drew his own illustrations according to the plot, which added a lot of fun to the reader. As a result, "The Case of Tang Di Gong" was a great success, was translated into German, French, Japanese, Spanish and other Chinese, and even listed as a must-read book by the US Foreign Ministry that year, after which Di Renjie was extremely popular in the West, and films and comic strips about him appeared in an endless stream, becoming the "Sherlock Holmes" in the eyes of Westerners. Unfortunately, despite his popularity in the West, Di Renjie is still in the embarrassing position of being forgotten in his hometown of China.
Until 1979, a graduate student named Zhao Yiheng accidentally saw the English version of "Di Gong's Case" in the library, and he found that the cover and illustrations of this novel, which were all in English, were Chinese, which made him curiously open the novel and read it.
Soon Zhao Yiheng was attracted by the contents of the book and read it several times in succession.
In 1981, Zhao Yiheng published a book review about Di Renjie in the People's Daily, recommending the book that had been buried for many years, and later, Zhao Yiheng contacted Chen Laiyuan and Hu Ming, two translators, and asked them to translate the "Di Gong Case" into Chinese.
These two translators are different in that they do not adopt the colloquial way of the novel, but borrow from novels such as "Three Kingdoms" and "Water Margin", and use a half-text, half-spoken way to translate, so that the novel has a different charm.
In this way, after the novel was launched, it finally received attention and recognition in China, and soon began to spread. Slowly, this ingenious detective and his story began to go to the screen, until Qian Yanqiu completely put Ge Lao on the altar of the detective with the "Detective Di Renjie" series.
