What's the secret to Olympic champions? How to resist pressure? On October 19th, Olympic champions and Jinan athletes Chen Aisen and Xie Sibei shared their feelings and growth stories at the Zeng Xianzi Science Museum of Jinan University (hereinafter referred to as "Jinan University"), encouraging students to cherish their college time and make the youth of struggle more beautiful.

Olympic champions, Jinan athletes Chen Aisen and Xie Sibei shared their feelings and growth stories about winning the championship.
Talk about winning the championship:
Standing on the podium only thinks of the motherland
Chen Aisen and Xie Sibei are "comrades-in-arms" on the sports field and brothers of the Jida School of Economics. Chen Aisen, a 2018 master's degree in international business from the School of Economics, won the men's double 10-meter platform and the men's single 10-meter platform at the Rio Olympics in August 2016, becoming the first athlete in Olympic history to win gold medals in both the men's single 10-meter platform and the double 10-meter platform in the men's diving event. Xie Sibei is a 2019 international business master's degree graduate student of the School of Economics of The University of Economics, and has just won the tokyo Olympic diving men's double three-meter board and the men's three-meter board championship this year, thus becoming the first person in the history of the diving men's 3-meter springboard event to achieve the Olympic Games, the World Cup and the World Championships "Grand Slam".
The "double champion" is the same division brother, what is the relationship between the two? "Very familiar" "I am the same", the sharing meeting began, and the tacit answer of the two triggered bursts of applause.
The Tokyo Olympics under the epidemic situation have been postponed for a year, and Chen Aisen and Xie Sibei have admitted that this has given them greater pressure and challenges.
"In 2020, we are ready to impact the Olympic Games, and we are riveted, and when we are postponed near the competition, there is a feeling of 'punching a punch in the air', feeling that there is no place to exert force, it is very difficult." In addition, if you delay it for one year, your mental and physical conditions will change. Chen Aisen said.
Xie Said postponing the Olympics has a big impact on high-level athletes. He said that as he gets older, it will be more and more difficult for athletes to recover from injuries, and once injured, they may have to stop training for a week or two, in fact, stopping for a day can not catch up with the progress of others, which is a big challenge.
Under pressure, at the Tokyo Olympics, Chen Aisen and Cao Yuan won the silver medal in the 10-meter platform, and Xie Sibei won the men's double three-meter board and the men's three-meter board championship at the Tokyo Olympics.
Standing on the podium, Xie Sibi's eyes were red. "Sometimes tears are uncontrollable, especially in this moment of winning glory for the country, and a sense of pride is felt from the heart." Xie Sibei said.
"Standing on the podium, I only think of my homeland." Chen Aisen said that the motherland has trained them and given the athletes very good training conditions, food, clothing, housing and transportation conditions. Standing on the podium, he was proud to be a Chinese.
Talking about injuries:
If you choose a goal, there is no way back
For many high-level athletes, injuries are their common "enemy". Chen Aisen and Xie Sibei also suffered from injuries.
Chen Aisen shared that between 2017 and 2019, he often had neurotic arm weakness for no reason, could only do daily activities, could not carry out training hard, and was accompanied by ankle pain, and could not even walk. Not being able to train means not improving, which has a big impact on his athlete career. But with the encouragement of the team leader, coaches and teammates, he continued to train and finally readjusted his form. "We must have dreams in our hearts, we must focus, and we must adhere to the belief of 'going in the direction we choose.'" Chen Aisen said.
Xie Sipi also suffered serious injuries. In 2014, Xie Sibei could not participate in training because of a broken ankle, and even planned to retire. After two surgeries, he had two more steel nails and one rivet on his foot, and the doctor told him not to practice diving anymore; because of diving training, he had 7 laser surgeries on his eyes... But Xie Sibei still insisted on not giving up, "First of all, we must have a goal and direction in our hearts, and if we choose this road, we must complete it, there is no way back!" ”
3. Olympic champion and Jinan athlete Xie Sibei to share
Which is more important, talent or effort? Chen Aisen and Xie Sipi both believe that effort is more important. In Chen Aisen's eyes, Xie Sibei is a "proper desperate athlete" who has to practice hard with pain. In Xie Siwei's eyes, Chen Aisen is an athlete who is both talented and hardworking.
As a brother and sister, at the end of the sharing, Chen Aisen and Xie Sibei made intimate suggestions to the brothers and sisters on the spot. Chen Aisen encouraged his teachers and sisters to cherish their college time, explore themselves, and maintain a good attitude while adhering to their goals. Xie Sibei encouraged the teachers and sisters to combine work and leisure, and find a relaxed state suitable for themselves while working hard.
