On the morning of February 20th, the "Guangzhou Building a Child-Friendly City Sports Season - Open Class for Olympic Champions and Evaluation of Guangzhou Children's Sports Friendly Popcorn Index" jointly sponsored by Guangzhou Women's Federation, Guangzhou Municipal Sports Bureau and other units was held at Tianhe Sports Center.
The event mobilized the majority of families in Guangzhou to participate in the construction of Guangzhou Child-friendly City, join the Guangzhou Little Foot Family Volunteer Service Team, actively participate in sports, personally experience the equipment and facilities of sports venues in various districts of Guangzhou, select the most suitable sports map for children's sports from the perspective of children, create a "Popcorn Index", and provide suggestions for building a child-friendly city.
At the scene, Chen Aisen, the 2016 Rio Olympics men's singles and doubles 10m platform champion, shared his Olympic story with the children and the changes that diving brought to him. "What should I do if I have a challenge?" "How do I deal with setbacks?" In the face of the children's confusion, Chen Aisen patiently answered, telling the children not to be afraid of failure, and to take each failure as their own experience and motivation.
"Hui Ge, Chong Ge and Yue Ge usually pay for the glorious moments on the Olympic field, which motivates me to train harder." The Olympic champions Yang Jinghui, He Chong and Lin Yue, who were first contacted, became role models for Chen Aisen to learn from, saying: "Participating in this activity today, I also hope to inherit this fighting spirit and encourage and stimulate more children's interest in sports." Chen Aisen said that today, Guangzhou's sports venues and facilities have been significantly improved, and he believes that more sports experts can be trained in such training grounds.
On that day, the children also evaluated the child-friendliness of Tianhe Sports Center from more than a dozen dimensions such as transportation, facilities and environment. In the next two months, the "little feet" will be in various sports spaces in Guangzhou to punch, foot measurement, personal experience, through the children's perspective to observe and discover the real needs of children, to cultivate children's "little master" consciousness. The data evaluated by the children will be summarized to form the "Guangzhou Child-friendly Sports Season Popcorn Index".
