According to reports, the bronze mask is the most distinctive typical artifact in the Sanxingdui culture, and it should be an artifact placed in the temple for people to worship. This bronze mask is 131 centimeters wide, 71 centimeters high, 66 centimeters deep, and weighs 131 kilograms, which is the largest bronze mask with the most complete shape, the largest volume and the best preservation excavated at the Sanxingdui site.

This large mask was excavated from the No. 3 sacrifice pit of the Sanxingdui site, buried in the south-central part of the pit, the mask face down, which was superimposed with ivory, and it took more than three months of careful cleaning before it was finally released. Through the analysis and study of the casting process of the large mask, archaeologists found that its production was first divided into molding, respectively casting the face, the back of the cheek, the eyes, the ears and other parts, and then combined into one, the right eye of the large mask also found that there are silk fabric residues of warp and weft organization, and the combination of silk and mask with the function of "heaven and theosophy" highlights the meaning of sacred sacrifice.
On the same day, the reporter saw in the Cultural Relics Protection and Restoration Hall of sanxingdui Museum that the huge bronze mask was displayed in a large glass display cabinet, surrounded by people who came to visit. Yu Jian, director of the exhibition and storage department of Sanxingdui Museum, introduced that the display cabinet is made of low-reflection double-layer laminated glass, which allows the public to more clearly appreciate the style of the bronze mask. "The total weight of the display case plus the base is more than 500 kilograms."

Yu Jian told reporters that in fact, the bronze mask only ended its "business trip" on the 14th and arrived at the Sanxingdui Museum. The stunning appearance of the bronze mask at the "Spring Festival Gala" also further stimulated the "heat" of Samsung's cultural tourism. It is reported that during the Spring Festival holiday, sanxingdui museum received 83,707 visitors, and the sales revenue of cultural and creative products increased by 339.01% year-on-year.
