Today, Redmi Mobile officially announced that it will reach an exclusive mobile phone partner with the Mesardes-AMG F1 team to explore the limits of performance. The K50 esports edition is a new addition to the Redmi K series and the first phone in the K50 family to be released. It is reported that the K50 e-sports version will be equipped with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor, 120Hz high screen, in addition to having a Sony IMX686 as the rear camera, and will debut IMX596 as the front camera, the image capability reached the flagship level.
The partnership with Redmi is the Mesades-AMG F1 team, the predecessor of which was founded by team leader Ross Brown on 6 March 2009, and in the same year, the team was acquired by the car manufacturer Mercedes-Benz and renamed the Mercades-AMG F1 team. As of 2020, the team has set a record of winning the F1 constructors' championship for seven consecutive years, ranking fourth in the constructors' championship list.
At present, Redmi has not officially announced the specific cooperation content of the Mesades-AMG F1 team, in addition to the joint mobile phone that has been revealed, whether there are other surprises is still unknown.
The Redmi K50 esports edition will be released on February 16.
