About % Planning

Project % by TAKI

In the eyes of most people, % is just a symbol. TAKI deconstructs it and derives multiple interpretations:

It is to face the challenge head-on and leave no room for giving; it is the dots and lines into faces, and the individual is enough to form an influence; it is a slash that cuts out the infinite possibilities of life; it is every progress that reflects itself with transcendence; and it can also be a dialogue between us and you, an informal occasion.

TAKI is an adventurer who is always full of new life. When we embark on the voyage of "% Planning", we let our eyes cross the mountains and seas, listen to the freedivers who have escaped into the deep sea, the trapeze artists near the end of the world, to explore the craftsmen who have focused on the old craft for more than ten years, and to approach countless ordinary and extraordinary % young people... I hope that through the TAKI% project, you will see another new youth culture.

Project % by TAKI Vol.03 Yufei Lee

Before visiting the studio, we had a lot of ideas about Li Yufei (hereinafter referred to as "Feifei"):

GuGU Art brand manager, art therapist, in nature to organize exhibitions, the weekdays of a large chunk of time to the classroom, accompanied by children to achieve "achievements" again and again.

On the day of the visit, it was a moment earlier than the agreed time. The studio is far from the city, and the small courtyard is quiet enough to hear birds.

Climbing up the stairs, all you can see is a lovely sight: a large can of paint buckets, a random stack of albums, a witty paper carving, a free-cut fabric storage...

The "official" courtesy of the first meeting was dissipated by the comfort of the corner. Fei Fei beckoned us to sit casually, like stealing a small drink from the "adult" world, and spending the afternoon with the children was also extra relaxed.

Q. Why is it named "Aunt Art"?

The word "aunt" comes from the son of a very good friend, who calls me aunt.

The teacher is a very important role in the growth of children, but there is no way to replace the parents, and I myself especially like children, want to accompany the children with the role of relatives, I hope that here can bring children a sense of home.

Q.Can you tell us about "art therapy"?

The "yu" here is the "education" of education, which is different from the "healing" that everyone usually hears, which is a model of artistic exchange and healing for special groups. The "art therapy" here is an educational method for the mainstream population after integrating the disciplinary methodology of "art healing".

Li Yufei: This is an open answer, like a child's brush

For children under the age of 7, "sensory integration ability" occupies a large proportion of art therapy. In this sense, I will pay more attention to the children's concentration, or some of the "psychological problems" that appear in the process of growing up. At this time, companionship and intimacy are very important. Children need this "umbrella", a force that transcends words.

Q.In the process of getting along with the children, is there something that you will remember?

In fact, when I first came into contact with children, I found that every child who came to my side liked to draw, which was almost their nature.

Later, after a long time together, I gradually felt a very "interesting" point - children who do not like to draw are basically reluctant to enter the drawing class because they are "afraid of (paint) dirty" or "afraid of getting dirty (clothes)". I would think, what a lovely reason this is.

But I was also inspired by this incident and began to pay more attention to the children's "three-dimensional ideas". I pay more attention to the story behind creation than to creativity. In the process, the children slowly fell in love with this place and were especially willing to show themselves, and I loved this "healing feeling".

Q.How do you view children's art?

In fact, from the perspective of "art" itself, I see it as a trace of the movement of everyone's thoughts. "Children's art" is the same, I will not take the initiative to define the connotation of art, my class will not set the theme and completion time for children, its biggest charm should be to inspire.

Li Yufei: This is an open answer, like a child's brush

I am very much in favor of children who can also go to see more art exhibitions, and the important thing is not to really "understand" a certain masterpiece. Rather, in the process, children can gain their own understanding of "art" and then realize their own creative expression through art, which is a communication based on art. It's like "a thousand readers, a thousand Hamlets."

Li Yufei: This is an open answer, like a child's brush

We also see their sensory integration ability in the scientific system through children's artistic expression, and communicate in their way, which can inspire more children, which is why I insist on popularizing children's art.

Whether it is an aunt or an art exhibition, they all have a strong tolerance. Art itself is boundless, and it's an open answer, like a child's brush.

Q.Is this something you've always loved? Will it stick with it?

At first, I was actually an artist agent, and by chance, I went to a friend's studio to help teach children to draw. I found that I was actually very good at "teaching", and here "teaching" is to put quotation marks (laughs) - very good at "accompanying" children to draw.

Li Yufei: This is an open answer, like a child's brush

I myself have actually been painting since I was 4 years old, and I am very grateful to my mother for being able to persist until now. But it was also my own painting experience from childhood to adulthood that made me realize that "art education" is actually extremely important for children, and it even directly inspired "how children find their own love".

Friends always say that I am a very lucky person, when I was young, I found my love and was able to stick to it because of various opportunities.

Q.Where do you think you need to improve a little bit?

tenacity.

If it is more like, in fact, just like cosmos can grow in arid and oxygen-deficient highland areas, the vitality is very tenacious, I hope that I can at least face it firmly and flexibly in the matter I love, no matter what the environment is.

Li Yufei: This is an open answer, like a child's brush

Q. Finally, please say yourself in one sentence

Take care of the nature of children and accompany them to play out the future.

Li Yufei: This is an open answer, like a child's brush

On the way back from the studio, it was already sunset, but it was rare to catch a small piece of light from the cracks in the layers of buildings.

Just like the warmth that children and Fei Fei convey to each other, every work spread at the table and still drying is an unfinished story of children growing up, and it is also the story of Fei Fei.

If the children gave her the sweetest candy, she carefully collected the sugar paper after taking it and weaved it into a dream.

As Fei Fei said, the insight of art is not unique, but stems from the fact that we walk side by side with life itself: some people explore diversity with curiosity, some people create connections with the world through action, some people arrive at the ideal place, some people are still looking for an unknown solemnity... And some people, who are well aware of the power of caring for nature, are enough to extend into a window to look at the world.

Not necessarily profound, but already vivid.
