Ben Gold, a designer working at Google, recently posted some instructions for this dLight. It is a pure white table lamp with a circular base, the cylindrical bracket has a T-shaped extension at the top, and the light is emitted from the pill-shaped part under the extension, and this part can be rotated at least 90 degrees, allowing the user to hit the lamp in their face or shine on the table.

dLight is designed to be especially suitable for those who need to do video conferencing, and this is actually the design purpose of dLight. Users can control dLight with the Google Assistant voice assistant, and this table lamp can be added to the Google Home app, just like other smart bulbs. dLight doesn't have a built-in microphone, so users don't need to worry about this lamp secretly recording.

Although you can't see any of the dLight wires from the picture, this lamp has a USB Type-C interface, which is not much of a problem for its rated power consumption of 14W. dLight itself can also get OTA firmware updates via WiFi, enabling more features in the future.

But the most important point is that Google only sells this lamp to its internal employees, so many people estimate that this lamp was developed by Google so that employees can better work from home. In fact, Google has also launched products specifically for employees to sell before, but this time dLight will be more distinctive in design.
