Thomas Child skated the Chinese Emperor in 1870

Based on photographs taken by Thomas Child, an important photographer from 19th-century China, the artist Frank Dadd created the original protein photograph of the "Chinese Emperor Skating" print, which should be remade from a Publication in Europe in the 1880s, with the caption under the image reading "The Emperor of China Skates in the Royal Garden." The Royal Gardens of the Forbidden City are paved with lotus flowers in the summer and become the royal ice rink in the winter. The Emperor was using a new scooter from Austria." Interestingly, the Chinese emperor in the video has Western characteristics because of the creation of printmakers who have never seen Chinese. It not only records the exchange of Chinese and foreign trade cultures in the late Qing Dynasty, but also records the struggle and integration of photography and other visual arts.
