In 1998, the heavily invested defender Huandao fell into the relegation dilemma, and under the internal and external difficulties, the club chose to bring lee jang-so, the young marshal of the South Korean league, to China. After leaving Qingdao, Lee Jang-so coached in the Korean League. In 2007, he returned to the Chinese Super League to coach Beijing Guoan, who defeated in the final of the 2000 FA Cup.
