Beijing, February 13 (China News Network) -- On the evening of the 13th, the Chinese team sent three strong players to participate in the men's 500-meter short track speed skating competition at the Beijing Winter Olympics.

The quarter-finals were held first that night, divided into four groups of 5 players each. Ren Ziwei and Sun Long were divided into group 1, and Wu Dajing was divided into group 2.

Among them, Wu Dajing, who currently holds the world record and the Olympic record, slid out of 40 seconds 528 seconds, steadily suppressing the opponent's half position and successfully advancing to the semifinals.

Sun Long's time was 40.779 seconds and Ren Ziwei's time was 40.714 seconds, both of which stopped in the quarter-finals. (End)
