On April 5, 1962, a strange scene occurred in the Yining section of the Sino-Soviet border: Soviet border guards cut the barbed wire fence section by section and cut it into large holes.
Then the Soviet soldier shouted with a loudspeaker:
"Folks in the Tacheng area, you originally came from the Soviet Union, and now the Kremlin still treats you as citizens of the Soviet Union, and the door of the Soviet Union is always open for you. The motherland welcomes you, come quickly. ”
At their instigation, border residents gathered in groups to loot and sweep away the collective's property and flee. By late April, more than 50,000 people had fled from Yumin, Yining, Huocheng and other counties.
Not only that, but they also besieged government departments, wounded guards, and seized weapons and classified documents.
This is the "Ita Incident" that shocked China and the rest of the world.
The Soviet authorities have long exploited their diplomatic privileges in Xinjiang and the intricate relations between ethnic minorities in the border areas of the two sides. Spare no effort to cultivate special forces and carry out various subversive activities.
The Soviet consulates in Yining and Urumqi turned the Soviet overseas Chinese associations scattered throughout Xinjiang into their base camps for subversive activities. They have actively recruited "overseas Soviet Chinese" among the people in our border areas in various ulterior ways, established an extensive intelligence network, and cultivated a large number of anti-China elements.
At the same time, they also carried out ideological infiltration into the above-mentioned areas through radio, letters, newspapers, and other means, propagated the so-called superiority of the Soviet system, and openly encouraged the people of our border to live a "happy life" in the Soviet Union.
Beginning in 1960, when the mainland was hit by natural disasters and experienced serious economic difficulties, these activities became more and more rampant. The "Ita incident" is a direct consequence of its illegal activities.
At the beginning of the exodus, the actions of the Soviet side were covert, and later they became unscrupulous. Border guards openly set up searchlights along the border to show the way for those who had fled, and even sent hundreds of vehicles to meet them.
The Soviet authorities concerned quickly resettled the border residents who had fled to the Soviet Union. At the same time, they also encourage the fugitives to return, incite and lure others to flee, and reward them according to the number of people they have taken away. The authorities also openly encourage those to go back and commit looting, and the more things they take, the more rewards they give.
This encouraged those border dwellers and further stimulated the development of the situation. Against this backdrop, the wave of exodus spread to other areas, expanding to more than 10 counties, including Emin, Torrey, Shawan, Wusu and Bole. By the end of May, more than 60,000 people had fled to the other side of the border, taking with them more than 200,000 heads of livestock and countless collective assets.
The consequences of fleeing the tide are not only political, but also economic.
For example, after the border people fled, many places were left uninhabited, and a large amount of land was barren without cultivation. According to records, more than 600,000 acres of land have been abandoned because border residents have fled, and the economic losses are immeasurable.
Against this background, the Xinjiang Autonomous Regional Government has taken active action and called on the soldiers of the Xinjiang Construction Corps to go to the above-mentioned areas to cultivate the barren land, to shepherd the livestock without owners, and to manage other production activities, that is, the "three generations" task force.
Under the circumstances, it was dangerous and uncertain to get to the above-mentioned areas, and the traditionally wayward Soviets did not know what to do. Therefore, some people are hesitant to participate in the "three generations" task force, and they are hesitant and unwilling to sign up.
At the mobilization meeting of a certain unit of the Xinjiang Construction Corps, there was a lot of discussion there, but there were not many applicants. At this time, a girl in her 20s stood up, walked straight to the rostrum, and said to the staff: "I'll go!"
This girl in her 20s is named Sun Longzhen.
On October 5, 1940, in the home of a poor peasant in the countryside of Taixian County, Jiangsu Province, there were bursts of baby crying, and the voice was particularly high. The midwife smiled and said, "I thought it was a boy." ”
The father sighed on the side and said, "Alas, life was already sad, and now there is another mouth." ”
In the old society, the life of the Chinese peasants was already miserable, and when Jiangsu was occupied by the Japanese army, the life of the common people was even worse.
Chinese people are inherently patriarchal, and the baby girl born in the war is even more unwelcome, and it can be said that the birth is not timely. Maybe you feel that you have a low status in the family, maybe you have a strong nature, the baby girl grows up quickly, she is sensible very early, she helps her mother with housework at the age of four, and she can spin and weave cloth at the age of nine.
The villagers were full of praise for this sensible girl, and the parents' faces were happy. This girl is Sun Longzhen.
The sun and the moon are like shuttles, time is like an arrow, and unconsciously, time has come to 1959, Sun Longzhen has become a big girl and found her other half. Her husband's name is Yu Zhilin, he is a handsome and handsome young man, and he is also very good at hurting people.
Sun Longzhen is diligent and motivated, filial piety to her in-laws, considerate of her husband, and they all say that Yu Zhilin's parents are blessed to meet a good daughter-in-law. But less than a month after getting married, Sun Longzhen left home.
When the neighbors learned about it, they were surprised and talked about it behind their backs.
"Maybe I quarreled with my mother-in-law and ran away in a fit of anger. ”
"Maybe someone had an affair and eloped with someone. ”
"No, this daughter-in-law looks virtuous. ”
"Maybe before they got married, they had lovers. ”
"I heard that this daughter-in-law went to Xinjiang. ”
"I heard that Xinjiang is very desolate, there are no people for hundreds of miles, and there are more wolves there than people. ”
"Leaving our land of fish and rice and going to a deserted place, is this daughter-in-law crazy?"
Later, they learned that Sun Longzhen said goodbye to her newlywed husband and went to Xinjiang, not because she had an affair, but with her husband's consent. She responded to the government's call to go there to build Xinjiang.
At first, Sun Longzhen wanted to go with her husband. But Yu Zhilin's parents are old and in poor health, and as an only child, he can't leave home at all. And let the newlywed wife go to a distant place and live the life of a cowherd and a weaver girl, Yu Zhilin couldn't accept it, so he scared her and said: "If you want to go, we will divorce." ”
Sun Longzhen said without showing weakness: "Without the country, how can there be a small family? No matter what you do, Xinjiang is up to me." ”
Seeing his wife's resolute attitude, Yu Zhilin had no choice but to give in and say: "You must not forget me when you get there, and when the conditions on my side allow, you will also go to Xinjiang." ”
Sun Longzhen was also very moved when she heard this, hugged her husband tightly, and said affectionately: "Don't worry, I will always belong to you." ”
In this way, Sun Longzhen reluctantly bid farewell to her newlywed husband and came to distant Xinjiang alone to become a worker at the Huoshan Chemical Plant in Turpan.
When she arrived, Sun discovered how difficult the work here was, because the environment in the chemical plant was very difficult, and the workers had to endure unpleasant smells and work in temperatures of 40 degrees Celsius. After less than half an hour of work, my whole body will be soaked with sweat, just like taking a shower.
Sun Longzhen is very strong, and after a short hesitation, he accepted the challenge, and was determined to take root in the factory and make achievements. In a difficult environment, she gritted her teeth and persevered, doing better than gay men, and was rated as "Iron Girl" every year and became the backbone of the factory.
Many people are unfamiliar with the term "Iron Maiden", which was a unique honor of that era, equivalent to the current "38 Red Flag Bearer".
In this way, Sun Longzhen worked diligently in the factory for three years. In the spring of 1962, Sun Longzhen and her husband also fulfilled the agreement and came to her.
Soon after, the husband sowed the seeds of love, which took root in her belly, and her lower abdomen was slightly raised. They are looking forward to the birth of a new life. It was at this time that the Ita incident occurred.
Large tracts of land were barren and a large number of livestock were left unfed, and higher-level departments called on soldiers from the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps to go to the border to join the "three generations" task force.
Hearing the news, Sun Longzhen was the first to sign up. The factory leader looked at her slightly bulging lower abdomen, shook his head again and again, and said, "You can't go." ”
Sun Longzhen's stubbornness came up and said, "If you don't let me go, you won't leave the office." ”
When the factory leader saw it, he had to give in, but said, "If you want to go, your husband must also go with you, so that he can take care of you." ”
In this way, Sun Longzhen and his wife came to the western area of Baruch Mountain and became herdsmen of the 12th Company of the 161st Regiment.
Before you know it, the time has come to 1969, and they have been working in the border area for 7 years and have two lovely babies.
The third little life also began to conceive in the womb. Although it was not the first child, the couple was still very happy. Over time, the baby grows older and is able to feel the beating of the fetal heartbeat. They were guessing whether it was a boy or a girl, and what to name.
The young couple reveled in it and felt that they were the happiest people in the world. That's when the unexpected happened.
On the evening of June 10, 1969, Zhang Chengshan, a herdsman of the 161st Regiment, returned to the 1st Pastoral Brigade, when a group of Soviet cavalry suddenly appeared in front of him. They illegally crossed the border, kidnapped the herdsman Zhang Chengshan, and tried to steal his flock.
Zhang Chengshan struggled and shouted for help. After hearing the news, nearby herdsmen rushed to the accident site with various tools in hand to provide support. Sun Longzhen, who was pregnant with Liujia, did not hesitate, picked up a shovel casually, and rushed to the accident site.
They were getting closer and closer to Zhang Chengshan, threatened by the Soviet cavalry, who shouted in Chinese: "Stop, or we will shoot." ”
Sun Longzhen and his comrades-in-arms ignored it and marched forward in the face of the enemy's brave guns. With a "bang", the gun went off, and a sinful bullet passed through Sun Longzhen's blazing chest......
The iron girl Sun Longzhen fell down weakly, and together with the baby in her womb, both hearts stopped beating.
Her life was forever fixed at the age of 29.
In order to carry forward her spirit, her superiors fulfilled her wishes before her death and posthumously recognized her as a party member.
On August 25, 1969, the Revolutionary Committee of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region awarded Sun Longzhen the title of "Revolutionary Martyr" and erected a monument to her at the foot of the beautiful Baruch Mountain.
Inspired by Sun Longzhen's spirit, generation after generation has waged unremitting struggles to defend the territorial integrity of the motherland.
In 2003, 34 years after the sacrifice of the Iron Maiden Sun Longzhen, after the boundary survey and negotiation between China and Kazakhstan, the 440,000 acres of land that had been disputed with Soviet Russia finally returned to the embrace of the motherland. This is the result of the unremitting efforts of countless people, and Sun Longzhen's efforts are also indispensable.
