After the Sino-Korean women's pot competition, we consulted Wang Rui, a fourth baseman with outstanding performance, in the mixed picking area.

Q: Wang Rui would you please evaluate the overall performance of today's game?

Wang Rui: We performed very well in the whole game today. Although the game was always played, we didn't think too much about it, and we always focused on ourselves and played every ball according to the formulated tactics.

Q: Can you reveal the tactics of this game?

Wang Rui: Our tactic today is to focus on the central area to attack, and then use the small ball plus the bump ball to do some angles. Both sides have mistakes in the game, and then it depends on who has the ability to seize the opportunity.

Q: There were two innings today where neither side scored, is that normal?

Rui Wang: This is more common in curling competitions. After a 0-0 appearance, the team that was originally a backhand will maintain the backhand, which is sometimes a tactical choice.

Q: In the eighth inning, you played a particularly good double fly, reversing the whole passive situation, was there a lot of pressure at that time?

Wang Rui: Is it in the eighth game, I can't remember it now. I didn't think about anything before that ball was shot. Before I get on the pedal, I remind myself of the rhythm and the power control of points and lines.

Q: I lost the first three games and the coach thought the problem was too much pressure. Isn't it easier to win two in a row now?

Wang Rui: Through winning these two games, our self-confidence is indeed much stronger, and now no matter who the opponent is, we are ready to fight every game and play every ball.

Q: After adjusting the order of the matches, how much has the feeling of the game changed?

Wang Rui: No matter in what order of appearance, we hope to help everyone have more confidence in playing well. As a team, it is very important that four people fight forward together.

Q: As a member of the team who participated in the last PyeongChang Winter Olympics, what role did you play in the team?

Wang Rui: Compared with four years ago, my mentality is better than before, and my state is also stable. The game is a normal competition, keep fighting hard, take it seriously is the best state. My Olympic experience is to help my younger teammates, but the game is still done by the strength of everyone on the team.

Q: The last time you participated in the mixed doubles curling competition, this time it was women's curling, what is the difference between the two?

Rui Wang: There is a difference between mixed doubles and women's curling. The former is a little more capable of the individual, because you have to pitch yourself, then sweep the ice, see the line yourself, and once you make a mistake, it is difficult to make up. Women's curling is a four-person team competition, the team's cooperation is very critical, there are teammates in the front who make mistakes, and there are teammates in the back to make up for it.
