Just a headache, but was found to have an orbital tumor, this year's 54-year-old Ms. Zhao was really frightened.

Two years ago, Ms. Zhao, who lives in Hanyang, had a headache, at first she thought that there was no rest, plus she felt that it was troublesome to go to the hospital, she had been dragging until recent headaches, and only at the urging of her family to go to the hospital for examination, the doctor carefully inquired, and suggested that Ms. Zhao do a head CT. Ct examination found that Ms. Zhao had a tumor in her eye.

Wei Huifang, chief physician of the Eyelid Orbit/Oculoplastic And Aesthetic Specialist of Aier Eye Hospital affiliated to Wuhan University, introduced that although the tumor in Ms. Zhao's eye was not very large by CT observation, it was located in a deep position and was located at the tip of the orbit. If you continue to grow up, it will affect the optic nerve, leading to vision loss and even blindness. And the smaller the tumor, the more difficult it is to take, and the greater the risk, but if it is not taken, the risk of the tumor growing and becoming blind increases.

On the 10th, through tumor removal, the tumor located at the orbital tip of Ms. Zhao was successfully removed.

"Because it is a benign tumor, Ms. Zhao can return to normal work and life after surgery." Director Wei Huifang introduced that the incidence of orbital tumors is usually relatively hidden, divided into benign and malignant, generally in the early stage of the disease will not have symptoms, this is because many orbital tumors are located behind the eyeball, and the orbit is full of soft fat tissue, making smaller tumors difficult to find. Except for some tumors that directly compress nerves and cause abnormalities in vision or eye rotation, most orbital tumors located behind the eyeball are not detected until they cause protrusion and eye position deviation.

So how do you check yourself? Director Wei Huifang said that if there is eye position shift, eye movement disorders, eye position protrusion, eye swelling, headache and dizziness, unexplained vision range reduction or vision loss, etc., they should go to a specialist hospital as soon as possible to exclude the risk of orbital tumors, and if necessary, relevant imaging examinations should be carried out.
