Ambassador Mountain Villa model
On January 17, 18 days before the opening of the Beijing Winter Olympics, the Zhangjiakou Division of the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics held a medal awarding ceremony for the State Guest Villa in princely town ice and snow town, which also marked the official use of the State Guest Villa project hosted by Master Zhang Lingling and designed by the Tianzuo Architectural Team of Shenyang Jianzhu University, and began to undertake important work during the Winter Olympics.
Four years ago, Professor Zhang Lingling, as a well-known expert in China, led the team to undertake the design task of the National Guest Villa for the Winter Olympics. The site survey is in the middle of winter, the temperature in Chongli Mountain is extremely low, Professor Zhang looked at the silver-clad mountains and the construction site at his feet, and said to the design team members of the same team: "This will also be our venue, everyone must go all out to make our contribution to the Winter Olympics!" ”
After receiving the design task, the design team fully analyzed the condition of the venue, excavated the connotation of local and traditional culture, and studied the post-game utilization of the project. In the process of designing the program for nearly a year, the Tianzuo construction team fully carried forward the spirit of dedication to the Winter Olympics, constantly surpassed itself, experienced multiple rounds of bidding and review, and the plan was also drafted several times, and finally put forward the concept of "cloud forest" that integrates into natural mountain forests, adapts to cold climates, and reflects cultural self-confidence, which stands out from dozens of design units.

The design scheme echoes the natural mountain of Chongli with a continuous folding roof, and finds the positioning in nature with strict modulus control. Through the layers of retreat and the reduction of the building volume treatment, the 14,000 square meters of building is integrated into the natural habitat, and fully fits the topographic characteristics of the slope.
A State Guest Villa that blends in with nature
Adhering to the creative concept of "plain and natural", the design team uses local stone and wood as the main building materials, and devotes a lot of energy to the design of architectural details. The curtain wall division abstracted from the birch forest in Chongli Mountain District not only makes the building better integrate into nature, but also conveys the charm of the window art in traditional architecture with modern architectural vocabulary.

In the more than four years from November 2017 to January 2022, under the leadership of Master Zhang Lingling, more than 40 members of the design team braved hard work and made every effort to complete various tasks including concept plan, design expansion, construction drawing design and construction site service, making The State Guest Villa a beautiful scenery in the Chongli Competition Area of the Winter Olympics.
