It set a new "second" record on Steam, with 980,000 simultaneously online on the first day of service and a peak of 1,325,305 the next day, a figure that also surpassed CS:GO's 1,308,963 and DOTA2's 1,295,114 to become the second-highest number of simultaneous online players in Steam history (the first was PUBG's 3,257,248).
