Guo Weiruo (1908-1971), a native of Weifang, Shandong. The original name was Xin, and later changed to Wei Qi, Wei Qi, Wei Ruo; once used the nickname Fenyang Wang Sun, Fu Weng, late number Sanweng; Tang number Zhiyu Tang, Erxiang Tang, ShuYuan and so on. Contemporary painter, born in a family of scholars, under the guidance of Huang Binhong. Good at flowers, birds and landscapes, the works integrate the families, write with the belt, the painting style is beautiful and lively, vivid and natural, and the style is unique. He has studied gold stones, archaeology, appreciation, calligraphy and literature, and was the director of the Department of Chinese Painting of the Central Academy of Fine Arts, and a member of the China Artists Association.
Guo Weiruo boldly practiced and innovated in art, advocating the combination of flowers and birds and landscapes, the combination of white painting and dot dyeing, the combination of brushwork and freehand, and the combination of heavy color and splashing ink. This "Spring Dawn" was created by him in 1962, and the whole work has a fresh intention, beautiful colors, novel composition, and a strong atmosphere of the times.
