Introduction to water level detection of sweeping robots

author:Energy points

When using the sweeping robot, you will hear the water tank remind you to add water, or the sewage tank to remind you to fill the water. So how are these reminders triggered?

Water shortage reminders, as well as full water alerts, are usually achieved by using level sensors. Common uses are probe-type level switches or mechanical float level sensors. Both sensors tend to accumulate dirt and cannot function properly due to dirt. The use of photoelectric level sensors can avoid many problems.

The photoelectric level sensor has a receiver tube and an infrared emitting tube inside. The receiving tube is to determine whether the sensor is in a state of water or no water by receiving light, and because the light emitted by the liquid level sensor is also infrared light, it is invisible light, so it is not easy to be affected by liquid color, pressure, temperature and so on. And its small size, the footprint is not large.

There are many types of photoelectric level sensors, including non-contact, contact, thru-beam, and pipeline, and different sensors can be used for different types of sweepers.
