Your adventures with Quall continue in the highly anticipated Moss sequel to Moss 2. Soon, players will not only enjoy everything that everyone loves in the original game, but also include innovative challenges, new game mechanics, rich environments, vast enemy encounters, and more opportunities to get along with everyone's favorite mouse companions. While everyone has their own favorite part of the game, the appeal of Moss is generally rooted in engaging moments and a sense of real immersion, which shapes every experience and connection we have with the world.

We are working hard to prepare for the launch of Moss 2 later this spring, and we would like to share with you the ingenuity and secrecy we have put in order to create a sense of substance and nurture that special connection in the world of Moss.

Earlier, fans were fascinated by the environment in Moss. It is often said that not only are even the slightest details beautiful, but the scale is like "Dear, I shrunk the child", taking an unfamiliar proportion, which immediately makes people curious. It's fun to observe familiar plants, animals, and objects from low heights.

In Moss 2, the team added a much larger amount of indoor exploration space and can't wait for players to experience the proportional feel again. Not only does the room expand to highlight Quell's true dimensions, but it also allows us to create expansive multi-dimensional puzzles and platform-based challenges that allow you to work with Quilla in a much larger single space. To navigate through these glitzy rooms, we took advantage of fluid camera footage and took familiar transitions to fade and eliminate loading time. Now you can reach new vantage points indoors, examine previously unnoticed details, discover secrets and solve puzzles without worrying about motion interruptions or discomfort.

Moss's environment and puzzles to be solved are abundant. Knowing you want to have more fun, we've added to the production of content in Moss 2. In fact, we've heard feedback from players that they want the opportunity to return to areas within the game to explore further and to be able to search for missing collectibles— so we're good at it.

You'll soon discover that the rooms in Moss 2 are all connected, not only to gain a better understanding of the world's space, but also to allow us to return to a known location by infusing tension and triggering emotional ups and downs by sudden situations. Now, when you come into a room again, you may get a new feeling from another angle through the camera lens, find visual differences everywhere, so that the plot can progress, or you can solve the mysteries of the past with the tools you have recently discovered. Whatever your motivation for re-exploring within the game, you can see that the world evolves with adventure.

Quill's personality, vivid movements and interaction with us make her a real star in the game, and we naturally add more moments to deepen our relationship with this little friend. In other words, there are more cutscenes, interactions, reactions, and character-based narratives that add color to the world and further strengthen the relationship with her.

With so many links integrated into the game, the work team doesn't want transitions to ruin your sense of presence. If the intermittent animations and transitions remind you that you're just playing a game, that's a no-brainer. So, the work team used the instruction code to create the animation and integrate it into the scene. By changing the current game logic and animation together, the system creates smooth transitions between cutscenes, illustrations, and player-controlled sequences, making Quell a more lifelike standalone individual. Wait, is she real? It depends on what you think.

We're sure you're real! We also want to be sure that you have real feelings in Moss. To this end, we respond to our presence through circumstances and Quil, convincing ourselves that we are really in Moss. The controller vibrates when an enemy is caught; the block glows when it's close to it; and Quill looks at us and reacts to our posture and touch. In order to create that sense of real integration, we specially designed a system called Boostables, so that the virtual identity has a physical existence, which can have an impact on the virtual world around us, and by processing some small details, we can take us beyond the ordinary experience. Similar to real life, grass and ferns move with our hands, and candle flames sway as we pass by and ripple when we touch water.

In Moss 2, we give enemies the same sense of substance as Quell and players. As a result, plants and leaves move and are destroyed when attacked by enemies. Enemy-thrown weapons also shock nearby vegetation when detonated, and a Whirl Effect occurs when crossing the hero's side in battle. Although it is not easy to reveal all of them, in short, there are many new things and responses in this sequel, which I believe can bring you surprises and pleasures through interactive exploration, and strengthen the realism of the world.
