On December 20, 2021, Xi'an City suspended the implementation of the tail number restriction measures for motor vehicles according to the needs of epidemic prevention and control. At present, as Xi'an has fully entered the normalization stage of epidemic prevention and control, and the traffic flow in the city has steadily rebounded after the Spring Festival holiday, in order to alleviate road traffic congestion, traffic management measures will be restored on February 16.

It is reported that from January 28-29, 2022, the traffic flow in Xi'an has exceeded the same period last year, of which the traffic flow of Lianhu, Jingkai, Qujiang and other regions has reached more than 108% last year. By February 6-7, the third grade of junior high school and high school in Xi'an had begun, and the traffic flow in the city had returned to normal levels, and on February 10, the city's traffic flow had reached more than 101.1% of the normal traffic before the epidemic.
