The reporter learned from the "two high and two districts" ten major project work promotion meeting held in Chongqing Liangjiang New Area on the 10th that in 2021, the total cargo throughput of the national logistics hub of Guoyuan Port exceeded 20.871 million tons, an increase of 46% year-on-year.
The National Logistics Hub of Guoyuan Port is located in Chongqing Liangjiang New Area in the upper reaches of the Yangtze River. From the perspective of location advantages, it is based on multimodal logistics, connecting the port city clusters of the Yangtze River Economic Belt to the east, central Asia and Europe to the west, ASEAN and South Asia to the south, and the China-Mongolia-Russia Economic Corridor to the north. From the perspective of economic hinterland, the industrial development of the entire Chongqing and even the twin-city economic circle in the Chengdu-Chongqing region provides a solid supply support for it. Through lanzhou-Chongqing, Yuhuai and other railway trunk lines, its radiation capacity extends to the northwest, southwest and other places, and the vast economic hinterland is unique among inland river ports.
Since the opening of the port, Chongqing Port Logistics Group, a state-owned enterprise directly under the Liangjiang New Area, has invested nearly 10 billion yuan in total, built 16 berths of 5,000 tons, built a yard area of 1.3 million square meters, and a standard indoor warehouse of 180,000 square meters.
The golden waterway of the Yangtze River, the new land and sea corridor in the west, and the China-Europe Express (Chengdu-Chongqing) have been seamlessly connected in Guoyuan Port, making it gradually become a "transit station of the world". At the same time, relying on the advantages of the "Belt and Road" construction, since 2020, Guoyuan Port has added new iron-water intermodal transport channels such as the Port of Singapore, the Port of Duisburg in Germany, the Chengdu Qingbaijiang Railway Hub, and the ports along the Yangtze River.

"The high-standard construction of the national logistics hub of Guoyuan Port can provide nearby and efficient port services for the entry and exit of goods in Chongqing and the western region." Qin Shubin, member of the Party Working Committee and deputy director of the Management Committee of Liangjiang New Area, said.
A series of logistics data shows a rapid development trend. In addition to the significant increase in the total throughput of goods mentioned above, the reporter learned from the meeting that in 2021, the container volume of the national logistics hub of Guoyuan Port will be 526,500 TEUs, an increase of 56.32% year-on-year; the number of commodity ro-ro vehicles will be 862,800 units, an increase of 20.59% year-on-year.
The level of intelligence is also constantly improving. The container "paperless" platform system, the "unmanned" tally system, the intelligent gate system, the EDI customs data exchange system and the integrated system of bulk cargo control have been completed and put into use. At present, the front-line tally operation of the terminal has been unmanned, and the recognition rate is more than 96%. Tally staff can fully understand the shore operation dynamics of the dock without leaving home, and can complete the loading and unloading ship tally operation of 2 to 3 shore bridges with the click of the mouse.
The National Logistics Hub of Guoyuan Port also joined hands with Shanghai Port and Regional Shipping Company to jointly build the "Shanghai-Chongqing Direct Express", and the overall shipping efficiency was nearly 30% higher than before the start of the trip.
The reporter learned from liangjiang new area that in 2022, the local government will do a good job in the construction of the international container functional area and supporting projects of the Yuzui Railway South Freight Yard, the heavy asset multimodal transport demonstration base, and comprehensively improve the hub function, and accelerate the construction of The Orchard Port into a first-class international "hub port".
