An innocent and tragic eighteen-year-old boy
On April 9, 1996, the criminal police team of the Public Security Branch of the New City Public Security Bureau of Hohhot City received a reporting call.
The reporter said he found an almost naked female body in the women's restroom next to the dormitory of the First Wool Textile Factory.
According to the situation at the scene, it is very likely that a vicious case of rape and murder has occurred here.
The person on the other end of the phone was Hu Gejiletu, an eighteen-year-old cigarette factory worker, who accidentally found the murder scene when he and Yan Feng, a worker at the same factory, went out.
After receiving the report, the Xincheng District Public Security Bureau set up a special case team to investigate the case, and Feng Zhiming, who was deputy director at the time, served as the leader of the special case team.
Feng Zhiming and his police immediately rushed to the scene and brought the two reporters who were still at the scene back to the police station.
Subsequently, Hugjiletu was identified as the murderer, and 61 days later, in the absence of actual evidence, he was sentenced to death.
A report published by the Hohhot Evening News in the same year described in detail how Feng Zhiming and others cracked the case.
The report wrote that after Feng Zhiming arrived at the scene of the crime, he briefly understood the case and had an idea.
He exchanged glances with several other police leaders present, locking the suspect on the two informants.
After taking Hugjiletu back to the police station, Feng Zhiming conducted a rigorous interrogation of him.
At first, the interrogation went poorly, and Hugjiltu insisted that he was not the murderer.
Later, Wang Zhi, then director of the Hohhot City Public Security Bureau, learned of the case and personally guided the interrogation work.
The case soon progressed, and Hugjiltu changed his mind to "admit" that he had killed the victim, and he was immediately convicted.
Feng Zhiming and others who quickly solved the case were commended for this, and after that, he rose step by step, and his career was smooth.
The shot-and-shoot Hugjiltu did not leave any superfluous traces in the world, and if it were not for the reversal years later, he would have been forgotten forever.
In October 2005, after several days of deployment, the Inner Mongolia police arrested Zhao Zhihong, the perpetrator of a serial rape and murder case.
In the face of interrogation by the public security organs, Zhao Zhihong confessed to the facts of his crimes for many years, including the murder of the women's toilet on April 9, 1996.
According to Zhao Zhihong, he happened to leave the construction site at the time of the crime, and suddenly felt that he was urinating urgently and saw that there was a toilet next to the road, so he went in conveniently.
The victim happened to be walking around the women's toilet next door wearing high heels at this time, and Zhao Zhihong, who heard the movement, became red.
He sneaked into the women's restroom and committed a violent crime against the victim, who he raped and then killed him.
In her confession, Zhao Zhihong described in detail the details of the case that year, including the time and place and the characteristics of the victim.
Without any prompting, he also took the police to the old site of the public toilet, which is already a tall building more than a decade later.
Zhao Zhihong said more than once that all the testimony he made was true, and he had no need to make up.
After the incident was reported by the media, it quickly fermented, and people began to pay attention to the "Hugjiletu" unjust case, and Feng Zhiming suffered more and more doubts.
The two-faced life of the public security chief
Feng joined the police force in 1981 and was dismissed from his post for killing people by torture in the course of his law enforcement.
In 1988, there was a homicide in the police station where Feng Zhiming was located, and Feng Zhiming, as the head of the criminal investigation brigade, was responsible for examining the suspects.
During the interrogation, the suspect refused to admit guilt, and Feng Zhiming "had to" use some "special means" against him.
Because Feng Zhiming did not always pay attention to the physical condition of the suspect, it was not long before the suspect accidentally "electrocuted and died" in the interrogation room.

In December of the same year, Hugjiletu was acquitted, and it wasn't long before Feng Zhiming became the first person to be investigated in the unjust case.
During the retrial of the Hugjile pattern, Feng Zhiming was keenly aware of the unusual atmosphere of the mountain rain.
He asked the Public Security Bureau for leave on the pretext of illness and spent nearly a month recuperating at home.
On the morning of December 17, the leader of the Public Security Bureau told Feng Zhiming that there was an important meeting that day, requiring him to rush to the bureau in the morning to attend.
Feng Zhiming was not good at disobeying the order, so he had to pack up and come to the Public Security Bureau in civilian clothes to attend the meeting.
Near noon, Feng Zhiming had not yet received the specific time and place of the meeting, and after inquiry, his superiors informed him that the meeting would be changed to the afternoon.
Feng Zhiming, who had nothing to do, had to hang out in the public security bureau to relieve his boredom, and chatted with colleagues to pass the time.
Colleagues knew that he was inextricably linked to the Hugjil motif and asked him how his mood was.
At this time, although Feng Zhiming looked a little sick, he spoke very normally and looked as if he was not affected.
At three o'clock in the afternoon of the same day, when Feng Zhiming was talking with his colleagues, the law enforcement personnel of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region People's Procuratorate suddenly arrived.
"Feng Zhiming, you are suspected of committing crimes abusing public office, please cooperate with us to accept the investigation." Law enforcement officers showed Feng Zhiming documents and legal documents.
Hearing these words, Feng Zhiming did not show a panicked expression, but looked at the law enforcement personnel in front of him very calmly.
However, just as the law enforcement officers were preparing to handcuff Ande Feng Zhiming with a black hood, he struggled violently.
"Why are you torturing me?" Feng Zhiming was reluctant to put on handcuffs and even had a brief argument with law enforcement officers.
Immediately, as if he had figured it out, he slowly calmed down, held out his hand, and let the law enforcement officers torture him.
Suspected of corruption, the amount is nearly 40 million
After Feng Zhiming was taken away, people gradually discovered that the crimes he had committed were far more than just the Hugjile pattern.
The once sensational "Du Wen Case" was also supervised by Feng Zhiming's hand.
Du Wen, a former deputy director of the Inner Mongolia Legislative Affairs Office, was reported for illegally possessing firearms in 2010.
Subsequently, Du Wen was found to be related to a number of huge bribery cases, and the case was transferred to Feng Zhiming after filing and investigation.
During the search of Du Wen's house, Feng Zhiming commanded his men to take away all the valuable things, even the children's money.
Du Wen's wife said she was impressed with Feng Zhiming, who was wearing a thick gold chain and was not like a policeman, but more like a hooligan.
Feng Zhiming's rogue temperament was even more vividly exerted during du wen's interrogation.

According to statistics, over the years, the amount of Feng Zhiming's embezzlement and bribery has reached a total of nearly 40 million yuan.
In addition, he also illegally possessed firearms and bullets, violating relevant laws and seriously endangering social health.
In August 2016, the Hulunbuir Intermediate People's Court publicly tried Feng Zhiming's suspected embezzlement and bribery case.
In court, Feng Zhiming remained unrepentant and repeatedly exonerated himself from the crimes he had committed.
He said that the difference in price profit generated by the sale and purchase of houses is determined by market fluctuations and cannot be counted as corruption and bribery.
However, the prosecution's evidence was conclusive and could not allow Feng Zhiming to reverse right and wrong in court.
After trial, the court convicted Feng Zhiming of accepting bribes, having a large amount of assets of unknown origin, illegal possession of firearms and ammunition, and embezzlement.
In the end, Feng Zhiming was sentenced to 18 years in prison and fined 1.1 million. After the trial, Feng Zhiming appealed against the verdict.
In July 2017, the Inner Mongolia Higher People's Court re-examined the facts of the case and held that the evidence in the case was sufficient and the judgment was reasonable.
Fung's appeal was dismissed, and the court upheld the original judgment.
At this point, the dust had finally settled, and Feng Zhiming, who had committed many evil deeds, had received the punishment he deserved.
Faced with this result, Shang Aiyun, Hugjiletu's mother, was relieved and distressed.
What she couldn't understand was why, among Feng Zhiming's multiple crimes, there was no mention of the Hugejiletu unjust case at all.
But with Feng Zhiming's imprisonment, Shang Aiyun's question may not be solved one day.
