General Secretary Xi Jinping stressed in his important speech at the Sixth Plenary Session of the Nineteenth Central Discipline Inspection Commission: "Comprehensively and strictly administering the party is the great practice of the party's self-revolution in the new era, and has opened up a new realm of self-revolution in the century-old party." Over the past hundred years, our party has united and led the people to achieve one great achievement after another, to overcome one difficulty and obstacle after another, to remain vigorous after enduring vicissitudes, and to win the support and support of the masses of the people, relying on the strict management of the party and the party, the promotion of self-revolution, the courage to uphold the truth, the correction of mistakes, the courage to turn the blade inward, and the courage to cut the bones and heal the poison. "Since the founding of the Communist Party of China, it has always insisted on facing its own problems, insisting that the party should manage the party, and carrying out thorough self-revolution while promoting social revolution.
The first party constitution of our party adopted by the Second National Congress of the Party has a special chapter on "Party Discipline", which puts forward strict disciplinary requirements for the Party itself. In August 1926, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China issued a circular on resolutely purging corrupt elements, which was the first document in the history of the party to punish corruption. In 1927, when the Fifth National Congress of the Party revised the Party Constitution for the third time, the chapter on "organization" was changed to "Party Building", which was the first time in the history of our Party that the category of "Party Building" was proposed. At the same time, the Fifth National Congress of the Communist Party of China also established the Central Supervision Commission for the first time to strengthen supervision within the Party. In the course of rectifying the work style in Yan'an, Comrade Mao Zedong put forward the principle of "punishing those who have been punished before and after they have been punished, curing the sick and saving people," and the whole party has carried out criticism and self-criticism in line with the principle of "unity-criticism-unity," which has strengthened party spirit, promoted unity, improved work, and formed the three fine work styles of our party, namely, linking theory with practice, maintaining close ties with the masses, and criticizing and self-criticizing. At the Second Plenary Session of the Seventh Central Committee of the Communist Party of China held on the eve of the national victory in the War of Liberation, Comrade Mao Zedong proposed to the whole Party: "We must ensure that comrades continue to maintain a modest, prudent, and unashamed style of work, and that comrades continue to maintain a style of arduous struggle."
After the founding of New China, our party has always attached importance to self-construction. In May 1950, the Party Central Committee issued the "Instruction on Carrying Out the Rectification Movement in the Whole Party and the Whole Army", and the Whole Party launched a rectification campaign to raise the ideological and political level of cadres and ordinary Party members, overcome the mistakes made in work, overcome the arrogance of merit and bureaucracy, commandism, and improve the relationship between the Party and the people as the main tasks. The party as a whole, which was carried out from 1951 to 1954, carried out education on how to be qualified communists when in power, and cleaned up impure and passive backward elements in the ranks of party members. The Eighth National Congress of the Communist Party of China put forward the requirements for the party to manage the party and administer the party strictly in terms of strengthening ideological education, perfecting the system, and strengthening supervision.
Since the beginning of reform and opening up, in the face of profound changes in the conditions for ruling the country and the social environment, our party has, as always, been bold in self-revolution and strictly managed the party and administered the party. Beginning in 1983, it took three and a half years to rectify the Party's work style and organization. Since then, it has also carried out education in party spirit and party style among the party and government leading bodies and leading cadres at and above the county level in the whole party, with "stressing study, stressing politics, and stressing healthy trends" as the main content; carried out educational activities on the important thinking of "three represents" in rural areas throughout the country; carried out educational activities on maintaining the advanced nature of communist party members with the practice of the important thinking of "three represents" as the main content in the whole party; and carried out activities to study and practice the scientific outlook on development in depth. Since the Eighteenth National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the Party Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping as the core has adhered to the comprehensive and strict management of the Party and incorporated it into the "four comprehensive" strategic layout, grasped the ideology strictly, grasped the party strictly, grasped the discipline strictly, grasped the administration of officials strictly, grasped the work style strictly, and grasped the anti-corruption strictly, with strengthening the party's long-term ruling capacity building, advanced nature and purity construction as the main line, taking the party's political construction as the command, taking the firm ideals and beliefs as the foundation, and mobilizing the enthusiasm, initiative, and creativity of the whole party as the focus point, and constantly improving the quality of party building. Under the new historical conditions, the key to our party always maintaining the true character of a Marxist party lies in our party itself. To win even greater victories and glory in the new era and new journey, our party must have the courage to carry out self-revolution and ensure that the party will always become a strong core of leadership in the historical process of upholding and developing socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era.
Taking the party's political construction as the guide, we should firmly adhere to the fundamental political direction of self-revolution. The political building of the Party is the fundamental building of the Party, which determines the direction and effect of Party building and also determines the fundamental political direction of self-revolution. The party's self-revolution must be carried out on the premise of ensuring that the whole party obeys the central authorities, upholds the authority of the party central committee, and exercises centralized and unified leadership; in the whole process and in all links of the self-revolution, it is necessary to always firmly implement the party's political line, strictly abide by political discipline and political rules, and maintain a high degree of unity with the party Central Committee in terms of political stance, political direction, political principles, and political road.
We should regard ideological construction as the party's basic construction and temper the sharp ideological weapon of self-revolution. Ideological construction is an important ideological weapon to eliminate all factors that undermine the party's advanced nature and purity, and to eliminate all viruses that erode the healthy body of the party. It is necessary to fully implement Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, arm the mind with the latest theoretical achievements of the party, guide practice, and promote work. Education guides the broad masses of party members and cadres to firmly establish the lofty ideal of communism and the common ideal of socialism with Chinese characteristics, build a solid foundation of faith, replenish the calcium of the spirit, and stabilize the rudder of the mind.
Resolutely implement the spirit of the eight provisions of the Central Committee, use strict discipline to rectify the work style, and enrich the effective ways of self-revolution. Comprehensively and strictly administering the party is grasped from the problem of work style that the masses of the people have strongly complained about, and the effective way to enrich self-revolution must also focus on unremittingly rectifying the corrupt and unhealthy tendencies around the masses. It is necessary to continue to strengthen the spiritual of the eight provisions of the central authorities, resolutely rectify the formalism and bureaucracy that affect the implementation of the party Central Committee's decision-making and deployment, disregard the interests of the masses, and increase the burden on the grass-roots units, thoroughly rectify the hedonism and extravagance that damage the party's image and the masses have strong reactions, investigate and deal with the problems of disorderly behavior that does not respect the law, does not respect objective reality and the needs of the masses, and the problems of prevarication, dereliction of duty, and inaction that does not think of making progress.
Fight corruption and punish evil with the momentum of thunder, and fight a tough and protracted battle of self-revolution. Corruption is the greatest threat facing the party, and resolutely preventing and controlling corruption is a major political task that the party must grasp well for a long time. We must take the initiative to cope with the new situation and new challenges in the anti-corruption struggle, and we must absolutely not breed the tiredness that has been strictly put in place; with the tenacity and persistence of grasping the iron and leaving a mark on the stepping stones, we must maintain the powerful force of opposing and punishing corruption, and unswervingly push the anti-corruption struggle to the depth.
Strengthen the political function and organizational cohesion of party organizations, and forge a contingent of cadres who dare to be good at struggle and dare to carry out self-revolution. Education guides the whole party to consciously maintain a high degree of unity with the party Central Committee ideologically, politically, and in action, and effectively organize the broad masses of party members and cadres. Organize party members and cadres to grasp the historical characteristics of the new great struggle, carry forward the spirit of struggle, grasp the direction of struggle, grasp the initiative in struggle, strengthen the will to struggle, grasp the law of struggle, and enhance the ability to struggle. Organize party members and cadres to constantly examine themselves, often think about their own mistakes, dare to face problems head-on, and dare to carry out self-revolution in the spirit of thorough materialism.

General Secretary Xi Jinping pointed out: "Socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era is the result of our party leading the people to carry out the great social revolution, and it is also the continuation of our party leading the people to carry out the great social revolution." Only by vigorously carrying forward the spirit of carrying the revolution through to the end and unswervingly leading the great social revolution with a great self-revolution can we promote the cause of socialism with Chinese characteristics to go steady and far.
More firmly and consciously practice the original mission. Yesterday's success does not mean that the future can be successful forever, and the glory of the past does not mean that the future can be brilliant forever. We must see clearly from the party's century-old struggle why we have been able to succeed in the past, understand how we can continue to succeed in the future, and always adhere to the original mission. We must never lose our revolutionary spirit and fighting spirit in the midst of applause and praise, and fall into a state of being content with the status quo, not thinking of making progress, and coveting pleasures; instead, we must keep in mind that the boat to the middle of the river is more urgent, and the road to the middle of the mountain is steeper, take adhering to the mission of the original heart as the eternal task of self-revolution, keep in mind the fundamental issue of what the CPC is and what it wants to do, and more firmly and consciously practice the mission of the original heart.
Build the party stronger and more powerful. General Secretary Xi Jinping pointed out: "If the management of the party is not effective, the party is not strict, and the prominent problems within the party that the people have strong reactions to are not solved, then sooner or later our party will lose its qualification to govern and will inevitably be eliminated by history." This is by no means alarmist. "Comprehensively and strictly administering the party is an inherent requirement of self-revolution, and we must always maintain the consciousness of facing problems squarely and the courage of turning the blade inward, unswervingly and comprehensively administer the party in an all-round and strict manner, and promote the building of party style and clean government and the anti-corruption struggle." Give play to the role of comprehensively and strictly administering the party as political guidance and political guarantee, continuously improve the party's ability to set the direction, seek the overall situation, set policies, and promote reform, continuously improve the ability of party members and cadres to adapt to the modernization drive and perform their duties, and show a new atmosphere and new deeds in the new era and new journey.
